Bad Trader/Trustee Alert: GuruDel

pitchfork/torch increases exponentially when bad trader comes out of the woodwork and tries to mount a defense, especially if the defense is really bad.

also, while bitzy jokes are a bit amusing, having met him and seen a couple of his youtube videos, it's obvious that he has some sort of developmental disorder. i'm guessing he's reasonably autistic and his parents are rich, assuming his assertions of being in grad school were true (reasoning being that you could get reasonably far in academia with enough money and support even if you were so autistic that you had severe social problems).

the guy was really "not present" when i talked to him, and got up mid-sentence and walked away even though our conversation was friendly. (: i'm sure some of you reading this think that "hmm... got up and walked away mid-sentence while talking to whoever the person is behind 'pahn'. that doesn't sound very far-fetched at all..." but i assure you that i wasn't like insulting him or anything, and i'm not that creepy. i am kind of creepy though.

Short of dead, coma or a recent Chinese athlete that did not win gold for the motherland, there is no excuse for not communicating. I would rather be told, "I'm fucking you and I ain't using lube." Than to have to spend hours, days or weeks playing fucking Columbo trying to get to the bottom of what happened on the other end of a trade. I can think of about a dozen ways of letting someone know, "Hey dude, I bit off more than I can chew. Can you please find someone else to ship these to you." Or, "Man, life just decided I'm a fecalpheliac and took a dump all over me thinking I'd enjoy it. It might be a while before I can send you your beer."

Gurudel was "confronted" on facebook. Words and stuff were exchanged, but credit goes to Kungfu Mike for a tasteless joke that turned the tables. "Hey KungFu Mike, I just wanted to make it clear, I sir applaud you, you clearly understand the internet and get a gold star for the day. In fact, you win so much you inspired me to reach out to Jason and make good on things"

Really? All that makes it sound like is he originally had no intentions to "make good on things." Classy.

I think the big issue is that he has the bottles. He had time to pick them up, but not ship them. If they were still at the Bruery, it'd be as simple as changing trustees.

 

He did not seem particularly apologetic based on the FB exchange. If anything, somewhat antagonistic.

At this point don't you think the more this guy gets harassed the less cooperative he will be? He hasn't disappeared from the face of the earth like most bad traders, and his friend is active on BA. I'm sure FosterJM encouraged him to ship ASAP.

Also, I feel like his natural reaction to harassment would be to get defensive. Why would anyone try to scare this guy off before he can ship the beer?

 

I am dying to know what the joke was. Drew?
