If that was the case then great, I would be perfectly fine with that (which it now looks like it is). As long as it's a "best customers" thing and not a "who-you-know" thing. I was just a bit suspicious of other things possibly being at play here. Note that I never even mentioned any of that in my inital posting, I just started this to get a general discussion going to see if any more info. dropped out.

Rest assured I know no one of any importance, but I can say I spend a lot of money at, and visit Provisions frequently.

Which is why they should have announced this to all of the RS with the requirements to join.

It seems to me, if you don't have an avatar on this forum... you may possibly have been invited..

Well - if there's one thing we know about The Bruery, it's that they like money. So I'm willing to bet that "who-you-know" isn't quite as important to them as "who is willing to forego their annual 401K contributions in favor of hoarding more of our beer". I'm sure they have their reasons for choosing who they chose, and Patrick will likely end up posting those later...

no, it's satirical. naming a beer "****** was right" would have been in poor taste.

I agree that it's strange everyone is getting so up in arms. I think the whole deal is a terrible idea and to show my thought I will not join. Also I am not a RS member for the same idea. No skin off my back. $700 is just ridiculous for anything beer related unless you are building your home bar.

I got an invite, would love to join - does anybody want to buy a bottle of PIAPT? Heh. That might be my only way of getting in.

Otherwise, I don't see how I can talk the boss into this one.....

Yeah, I'm a bit curious as well. I am not able to log into the Hoarders site, despite the fact that I've maxed out almost all of my allocations this year, with the one exception being the Oude Tart. Oh well, I'll just have to continue maxing out my Jackie O's STAFF allocations instead!

Same here. I maxed out most of the stuff last year but I have been skimping on everything but the rare stuff this year yet I can log in. Not sure if logging in has anything to do with being invited. I'll be keeping an eye on my mail box the next few days though.

this hobby is spinning out of control. I'm going back to basket weaving. Oh crap, I may have just helped Bruery with a future bottle name.
