in the past they've done both i believe (surprise release and actually announce it). one thing i would note is it has lasted for a long time by TH standards, as it's 1PP and they have brewed a ton...ie it has lasted into a 2nd week the last couple times (at least one of the two at least if i remember right), so you will at the worst case be able to get it the 2nd day it's available. the only thing they've said re: timing is that they hope to brew it again one more time before the end of winter

Generally the first day they release it is a silent release but it's lasted for a few days the last few times around.

Thanks guys! Good to know it may last a bit. Would allow me to possibly get up there a weekday evening to grab it.

Alter Ego today. Really hoping tomorrow's can is Haze or Single Shot.

Given the past schedule, and the number of full-color cans stacked in the brewery, I'd say either Julius or Green tomorrow is a pretty good shot. I can only think of one or two weeks in the past 4 months or so where one of these two was not canned.

Good point! Can't go wrong there. If I ever get to the point where I'm bummed about Julius or Green I want one of you to shoot me in the head.

Heading in for the first time in a while on Friday. I know we're getting spoiled at this point, but "only" three canning runs instead of four may be a hint that something else is on the docket for fills. Could just be reading into things though. Whatever they have, I'm sure it'll be worth the trip.

Four canning runs has only been a thing for like a week. Three is much more the norm. I wouldn't read into it like that.

I believe they have done 4 runs in a week at least 3-4 times, but I agree, just because they aren't doing 4 runs does not mean they will have something special for growler fills, but i wouldn't be suprised to see double shot or another small batch beer soon. Also people might want to consider that the beer being released now is what was brewed around the holidays. So hopefully Nate and the crew were able to take a break, which means we might not see a 180+ bbl week

I've got a question about Saturday availability. I'm headed out 1st weekend of February. Are cans generally available at 1st open on Saturday's? Any idea if EBF will change the volume of people headed out there that particular Saturday? From what I've seen written it seems like can availability is dependent mostly on what's being offered (or possibly weather if it's very snowy Wed-Fri). I'd like to experience the atmosphere there as I love seeing the breweries, but this would give me an idea whether an IP trade in the area might be a better way to secure cans.

Cans have been a little light on Saturday because they are selling so much earlier in the week. Per Twitter- It's an issue they're aware of and working on. Also, if people are in town for EBF, I'm guessing many of them will plan to hit TreeHouse, Trillium, etc. I would plan for a busy day. I'll be steering clear.

I would expect a shit show from EBF. It's an easy drive and a one day rental car is pretty cheap.

^^^^ Thanks. I was going to head up and that's my route. Cancelling my trip, knowing I'm going to miss out on something good seeing as they've waited this long to announce the last canning of the week. Coriolis it is.

Also, the schofield rd detour is pretty easy.

Thought is was peculiar that they haven't announced the can yet.
