    SCVB just added a Belgian Strong and a Barleywine to their lineup. My favorite local brewery at the moment.

    Cool, yeah def check out Mission Creek. I had their Bine Life DIPA a couple weeks ago and it was very tasty. I think they make the best IPA's of all the brewers in SJ.

    True dis. The brewer was formerly of Russian River.

    I keep forgetting that it is the name of the brewery at the Alameda Whole Foods. Yes, decent beer, chill place.

    Oh I just joined another one...although I don't remember joining, I think someone added me to it, bu it's a pretty active group, SouthBay Beer Hounds on FB. If you wanna get together for trade or grab a beer locally just give me a message.

    For IPAs I think it's Mission Creek, then Hermitage, then everyone else. I like Santa Clara and Strike, but their IPAs are good but pretty run of the mill. Guy worked at Russian River so he learned from one of the best hoppy brewers on the West Coast, I'm hoping he picked up some sour chops their as well and gets a chance to use them at Mission Creek. Hermitage makes some really good single hop IPAs like Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe and more. Some of them have been duds, but the majority have been pretty good and there's a nice variety overall. I'm curious to see what Uproar does since they came from Surly who make some top notch IPAs.

    I didn't realize how many BAs were in and around San Jose. We should just have a general San Jose & suburbs releases/tappings/news thread.

    Yeah, I thought the best of the series was the Hermitage Citra. I also heard there is a new taproom soon to open and I believe this one is going to be in Santa Clara. Golden State Brewery.

    I'll be at Harry's Saturday for the Pizza Port tap takeover if anyone is going. Probably between 12-3 for lunch and many beers.
