For those that stopped by Other Half yesterday, did anyone ask if Oat Overdose with be on draft at the taproom today/tomorrow?

I think the 2 4-pack limit is just to spread out the allotment so hopefully everyone gets some. Seems like they're learning from the recent Street Green and Suparillo releases - excellent job. Now if only the rain stays away on Saturday morning...

 

From Bil over at MyBeerBuzz: Today we have the Beer Table Table Beer entry coming from Other Half Brewing. This series of beers from various brewers is designed to be the “one beer that they believe they could drink every day for the rest of their life” and this version is Brettanomyces fermented, heavily hopped and sessionable. This is a 22oz bottle and the beer hits 5.1%-AbV.

 

I'm going to shoot to get there about 8:30. Hope that's good enough

 

Ha, that should be more than good enough. People that got to Street Green at 9 still got two 4-packs, and that was with an initially higher limit of 3 4-packs and people cutting in line, both of which won't happen this time. I can't imagine this release exceeds Street Green levels.

That OH Beer Table Table Beer is going to be fire. Awesome series from them.

 

According to their instagram post, they're tapping it at a pre release event at Covenhoven tomorrow. Not sure what that means for tapping it early at the brewery. Seems like sometimes they do and sometimes they don't with these things.

 

For those have been to releases before - do they start serving beer for onsite consumption at 10am or wait until Noon?

 

starts at open (at least on saturdays). nyc doesnt allow alcohol service before noon on sundays only (afaik)

 

not to take this off topic, but that's what I thought was the case. but i swear every time i try to get alcohol at sunday brunch, they refuse (i always ask lol)... and i google it and it says 8am... but i don't want to be that guy pushing my smart phone in their face.

Sorry for being thick, but checking on untappd just shows you what other people have been drinking there right? There's no like list of what's on tap in one place is there?

 

no you're right, just that if people are checking it in it must be on tap haha. so if you see anything checked in within a couple of hours you can assume thats whats on
