I hesitate to ask...chances VG lasts until tomorrow at open? Given that they went through about 200 cases (at 6 pp) of AE last night?

 

Canned Very Green?! Hot damn. My favorite TH beer.

I bet cans will sell out tonight. You have a better chance at growlers from what I read on twitter:

I actually didn't love very green. That said, let the madness commence.

 

I'm not there tonight, but I have to just wonder at the efficiency: Tree House opens at 5. At 530 they tweeted: "205 growler cards handed in. Serving #132." Even with filling some cards before open, that is really impressive.

 

They opened around 415

 

Oh wow, that is quite early.

 

I'm constantly impressed with their ability to handle the masses, note to mention they appear to be having fun the whole time. There aren't many places where waiting hours for your growler to be filled is actually enjoyable.

 

I'm heading up there on Saturday morning. I've heard that it get insanely busy almost immediately after opening. Any suggestions? I'm quite aware that the best answer is likely "try everything."

 

Suggestions for what to buy? Honestly, whatever's left after tonight's shitshow.
Suggestions for when to show up? 2 hours early if you want growlers and expect to leave by 2pm.

 

Yeah, man. I doubt they will have any cans left.

 

@RuckIt is exaggerating. He is right that tonight will be a "shit show" and most of the cans will be gone. Supply will most likely be running low for growler fills on saturday, which might work in your favor. With no cans, and not many options for growlers, i would assume saturday will not be very busy, especially a little later in the afternoon. No reason to get there 2 hours before they open. My only suggestion would be to go in with an attitude like @BiffWoodentree whatever you end up with you will be happy with. Just keep checking the on tap page and make sure your trip will be worth your while on saturday, there might only be 2 beers available for fills, it also looks like they might sell out of beer again before closing time on saturday.

 

Not 6 months ago I showed up 30 minutes before opening on a Saturday and was one of the first 15 people. Now you need to show up 2 hrs early. On a Thursday night. I suppose these are the consequences of a brewery that consistently pumps out incredible beer.

 

Anybody remember the last time Very Green was on tap (besides the 3rd Anny party)? I was looking for the growler tag but can't find it. Summer of '14 if I recall correctly?

 

got there at 6:41 tonight, back in my car at 7:03. Super easy and organized. That place runs like such a well oiled machine!
