Smog City Appreciation

It's pretty damn solid.

 

Indeed, well balanced. Poured a dark burgundy color, with little to no head. Smell was tarty, dark fruit.Taste was medium bodied, tasty malt character with dark fruit. Leaves a tarty dry wine finish.

Also tried their cherry varient of it, delicious. Big punch of tart cherries from the beginning to end. Made me question if it this was beer or a full bodied wine.

Got a chance to try the Sour Future today, damn fine beer.

 

Went to the tap room last night. I'm not a big sour fan in general and I was impressed with This Sour Future. My wife, who doesn't drink any sours, thought it was pretty good too.
BTW, their new Tuesday hours are awesome. We showed up about 8:30 and there were literally 12 people in there including my wife and myself and the two folks manning the bar.

 

Oh damn, I missed the Tuesday hours note. Very good to know they're open then too now.

 

Just picked one up over the weekend and look forward to popping it tonight.. Love how creative they get with their beer and looking forward to many more to come.

 

Cranberry Cuddlebug coming soon according to their IG. That'll be interesting.

Just wait till they start waxing some bottles but not others, then this board will be lit.

 

Haven't seen mention yet, but they have Spittin' and Cussin' on which is their sour brown with sour cherries.

Definitely in your face with the cherries but it's pretty damn good. Very krieky but a bit more acedic than lactic.

Glad you like the label. We love the classic book reference; an enduring and classic beer deserves a label with as much class.

Cuddlebug and Snugglebug bottle release slated for Feb 13th. BPT to come for that soon too. Snugglebug will NOT replace Cuddles, it's just a fun and delicious red variant for Valentines Day. <3 <3 <3 Porter's really freaking excited about this one.
