    Bomber format aside, the 8-9$ for a bomber of Nelson is worth e v e r y s i n g l e p e n n y to me.

Not sure the other brews are special/unique enough to support the premium--different strokes. I suspect when it starts sitting, the market will dictate the $$$$$.

Never had the pleasure. I don't think either one of them make it out here.

Has anybody mentioned the Grimm cans? I guess if there were more of them the price may be lower.

Maine and Prairie cost way more than they should.

You're right of course, but I do see where he's coming from.

I traded for them... Sculpin was no better than the best local IPA's available here in Montana

Yeah, so do I, I've got a limited beer budget as well. Which is why I simply walk away from beers that are too expensive for my blood, just as I've been doing with Cars, Vacations and lots of other stuff.

The Bruery prices are rough, don't get me wrong I have a lot of them and love them but I cringe just about every time.

Or is it perhaps due to the amount of competition, as in comparable beers at lower prices, in CO?

You can get Pliny at Whole Paycheck for the same price as the brewery...$5.25 plus tax. Other shops are kind of dicks and charge around $8.

I doubt it. I understood the price was so high because of the distributer. I assume the new one is cheaper.

Plenty of states have comparable/better beers at lower prices.

I know, but the original post stated only that Ballast Point had lowered prices in CO.

New distributor in NC dropped most BP by 2$/six about a year ago--still not cheap but cheaper. However, I am certain the degree of competition also has something to do with it as there are so many things out there that it no longer stands out.

Thus logic would dictate that since other states aren't seeing a price drop, it probably was for another reason.

Point is pretty much home when it hits the shelves
Ballast point bottles do a lot of dust collecting.
Seems like Pliny is underpriced and BP is overpriced.

Caldera BA Mogli and normal Mogli (23.99 and 17.99, respectfully), Pelican Mother of All Storms (25.99), anything Mikkeller. Deschutes and Fremont's special releases are pushing it at 17.99/18.99.

Eclipse 50/50 at ~$30 is steep. Prairie is pricy too at around ~$12 for a 12oz bottle but their Bomb! is just so damn good. Pliny's price isn't really the main negating factor; for me it's just the extensive effort trying to get a few bottles.
