Founders Breakfast Stout Baby Is Back

He was only missing in Michigan. When I bought FBS in Indiana in 2016 and 2015, he was always on the label as usual. Strange.

 

I'm wondering if they were testing the waters to see if people would buy it more often with the odd label. Like a "limited release" or something.

That or maybe they changed out one of the ingredients because they ran out of something and wanted to do it satirically.

What's strange is I read an article this weekend that said the reason for the label change was due to an oversight on both Founders and the Michigan liquor board, saying that Founders had never actually registered the Breakfast Stout label with the state all these years. Someone at the state finally noticed and brought it to Founders attention. They were fined $300, the approval process completed and the baby is back on the label. So did Founder's twist this into a marketing campaign? I'll look for the article again.

More in depth. I guess the label not being registered was found out during the appeal process for the baby. Whoops!
