Drinking a Pieces of Eight right now that is blowing my mind. They've been on a roll lately - this is as as good as anything coming out of Vermont.

Going back to score a couple of bottles for Christmas Eve.

Had Citrennial at Rail Trail yesterday. Good beer, but not a $9 pint beer. At a more attractive price point, I'd revisit, but not for $9.

Fair Maiden is very good, but not mind blowing imo. If it were cheaper, I would buy it more often. I also don't believe they date the bottles (?) which makes the price even more of a gamble.

Just had my first Prospect yesterday. Wow. I love Pieces of Eight and like Fair Maiden a lot, and Citrennial as well, but this is their best yet. Prominent mango smell, and just incredibly smooth. Reminds me of Julius a bit, but mango replacing orange. As good as anything I've had really.

they make very good IPA's and they are readily available, but overpriced.

I confess that I don't like $10 bombers, but they are $8 at the brewery.

FM is solid, but Pof8 is fantastic.

I buy Pof8 when I see it fresh. Great beer. Worth the 8 bucks or so for a bomber. I don't mind spending a bit extra $ to support a good local small business.

Not to mention just walking in a store and buying it without a line - like the good old days.

Drinking a Fair Maiden now - delicious.

I love Fair Maiden and always pick up one when I'm in Vermont, but I just wish they did cans so the price point was cheaper. I'd buy far more of their beers if they were canned.

Agreed! Prospect is one of my favorite IPA's right now, and if I am just going to have one beer, I don't think that $8.99 is unreasonable for something fantastic.

Another Foley fan here. Citrennial was a good price from what I remember.

    Also agree on Crop Bistro.

Loved opening up this thread. I have a buddy who goes to Vermont regularly to snowboard but doesn't really drink this kind of beer. I told him to lookout for Lawson's, Alchemist, and Hill Farmstead (not even sure the latter cans/bottles). Last trip he brought me back Sip of Sunshine, which is always fantastic and a Rock Art DIPA which wasn't bad but not in the league of the others. Today I just saw him and he had a bottle of Foley's Fair Maiden for me. Said he couldn't find the other stuff but someone told him this was really good. Can't wait to try it!

went to Blackback in Waterbury and the bartender threw me a taste of Fair Maiden. It blew HF away. I loved it. My wife loved it. We left and bought ten bottles at Cross Roads. Best pull of my trip to VT. Cant wait to go back for some Foley

I've loved everything I've tried so far. Prospect really stood out for me as did citrennial. I have yet to be disappointed and their pricing is fantastic. Hope they keep up the good work, I'll definitely pick up a few on my next VT trip!

Just had their session ipa a couple days ago, thought it was excellent, and i am not usually a fan of session ipas. Great aroma on that one though

In Stowe for a long weekend with a fridge full of HF IPAs, Heady, SoS, and Other Half. We've been living the high life for sure. That said, went out to The Bench and ordered a round of Prospect and it stole the show. After the initial sip everyone's eyes lit up. Reminded me of a Trillium beer i had for the first time last week. Hoping to find a growler of it before heading home. Unfortunately effective today Foley Bros will be closed on Sundays until further notice.
