This Abrasive hunt is getting frustrating. I've got a couple trade boxes going out that I want to include Abrasive in, but I can't in good conscience ship an DIPA with a canned date over a month old. I know the beer holds up very well and I'm happy to drink older Abrasive personally, but sending old beer makes me look like an A hole, even if it is still good.

 

Personally I disagree, I've never felt like anyone was an Ahole for not sending something fresh off the canning line. You can only run around town so much trying to but together the perfect box. Anyone upset about not receiving the "most fresh batch," is the Ahole IMHO.

 

I agree, but from a slightly different angle. Surly has been brewing Abrasive all the way through December from what I heard - and the cans are likely just languishing in a warehouse someplace. I understand the distributor no doubt has a "first in, first out" policy, but it is frustrating to know that the cans are out there, we just aren't allowed to buy them.

 

Yep that is what's frustrating to me...There are January cans that are dying to be drank by us but we probably won't see them til February, if at all.

 

If at all? Yeah, you're right, they'll probably just dump it out rather than put it in stores.

. Strong Liquor in Hopkins had Love Child last week. St. Louis Park Byerlys had a bunch of Abyss on Friday on the back counter. Worth a call as they may have blown through it as there was no limit.

 

abyss was at Wayzata Wine and Spirits a few days ago. three bottles on the shelf.

 

About 4 bottles of Abyss at Byerly's Burnsville as of yesterday afternoon.

 

Stupid question; can you purchase regular beer (not 3.2%) from Byerly's, Costco and Cub on a Sunday?
