    This!

When you have pick up the beer yourself, it puts a limit on demand.

I guess Smog City is more interested in providing better service for local customers than bragging rights on how fast you can crash BPT. Some larger Southern California breweries could learn from this.

Having stood in line for several Smog City bottle releases, I have to say they were all very well run. This BPT release is even better.

This brewery just keeps getting better. A shout out for them.

I've said it before and i'll say it again. BPT is the way to go these days. Sure the line for Cuddlebug was done well, but….
these days with the amount of beer nerds and newbies you have to go with BPT. I think some of the others will follow Smogs lead.

Kind of like Modern Times, Highland Park (eventbrite), Alesmith, Hangar 24, Toolbox...

I think the key difference with some of the above is allowing proxies on very limited bottle count releases, that cause a click fest/shit show, with people's carts being dumped midstream, only to find people behind them picking up the bottles and themselves locked out.

    BPT has its limits.

I'm assuming this'll mean a little more space in the tasting room now?

How has Infinite Wishes not sold out? I told myself I wasn't going to buy any, but they are very tempting right now...

That's the plan from what I heard. That wall is over by where they wash the glasses. Barrels and supplies moved equals more table and chair space.

I'll take it. Love going over there on my own. But when I bring people, it's a tougher sell to my wife and some friends when there's nowhere to rest your glass at all.

From MI, going to be in LA on the release date. This seems pricey, $17 per 16.9 oz bottle with fees and taxes. I can get KBS, BBPT5, and hipsters brunch and many others locally for 1/2 the price or less per oz. So my question, is it better than anything I just listed?

    New Holland's Dragon Milk

As an MI transplant residing in L.A., I would reply: The 2015 IW release was utterly delicious. When I was imbibing it, one of my comments was that it ranked right there with KBS, et al.

However, given the situation as you describe ($/oz vs comparables), I would pass on it or grab one for a tick. I would instead allocate money and suitcase space to the crazy reedonk IPAs and wild ales available here that offer a better "change of scenery" from what is available in the Mitten.

    Cheers

Funny stuff. I was going to add "...and please don't say Dragon's Milk," but I didn't want to be mean.

To be fair, I almost prefaced that with "Some would suggest", as I'm not the biggest flag-waver for DM.
