    When I first got into craft beer I was shocked that I couldn't just walk into any liquor store and buy any beer at any time. I think this holds true for many new to craft beer and it’s this exclusivity that drives the hype and excitement for many releases regardless if they are actually worth the hype.

    I'm a little concerned. I wasn't planning on getting a Abyss variant myself, but I really want to see how fast they become available online for sale. It's been almost an hour now and nothing...

    Side note: Last year's regular Silhouette was still available at Vintage Chanhassen along with 4 different Destihl varieties.
    I was there yesterday and the lady didn't realize the NUM lock button was off, so she couldn't type my cash I gave her in the register. Then I had to proceed to assist her in subtracting.... fun lunch hour!

    I'm skipping abyss this year. Agree with most comments about declining quality and now if I have to chase I'm definitely out.

    If I weren't working on a vertical, I would've skipped. '13, '14, '15 and now Rye. I only plan on going after the variants a little bit. Snagged a Rye (it was convenient), but no Cognac yet.
