Trader Joe's in RO sold 60 cases in an hour.. I assume the same liquor store that bought it all last year did it again...

Trader Joe's in Royal Oak got a ton, Holiday Market had some, Costco had a bunch yesterday, Meijer and Busch's will have their allotment's tomorrow or Friday.

Went there at 11:30am and there seemed to be quite a lot still there.

LOL - Holiday market said they were releasing it at 4 PM - I got a Facebook post it was gone at 4:07 PM - nice. I was lucky enough to get 2 6-packs from 8 Degrees Plato in Ferndale.

That's what the guy there told me, anyways. I was there around 2:15 and there was a guy with a sixer, and no more to be found, ha.

Yeah, if you're at work like most people, you're not getting this beer.

Agreed, this stuff is tasting phenomenal to me right now.

After reading all the recent accounts of the various Macomb/Oakland county stores selling out so quickly, I feel lucky to have gotten a sixer today. I know it's been said already but damn, this scene has changed. Sometimes I'm torn between loving and hating it. On one side, craft beer has such a popularity to it right now and I'm grateful there are so many different options to try compared to 7-8 years ago. On the other hand, we have to deal with scenarios like this. Although, I will say the "hunt" is fun in itself, just not when you miss out :grinning:

I picked up a six pack after work tonight in west Michigan. there were probably about 20 six packs left. First year I've ever bought or tried the beer and I think it's awesome!

No sightings in IN or Chicago yet. I was lucky to get a case last year. From what I have read above, I will be lucky to get a sixer this year.

LOL. Meanwhile, in Chicago, there are about 200+ other freshish DIPAs on shelves that, depending on your preference, are better/worse/about the same as Hopslam that will languish on shelves longer while tickers and flippers(?) grab up whatever hits shelves this week and next.

This is so true. At Binny's Algonquin last year I asked if they had Hopslam left and the guy said no, but here, try this and this. Both were incredible and I hadn't tried them yet. One of them was Six Point Resin which is now my go to double.

That being said, HopSlam does have a different flavor profile with the honey. What are comparable and available IPAs?
