Where are you with craft beer?

Voted and chose "Exclusively drink craft beer, travel for releases , trade occassionally"

Trading is mostly a BIF on here or with local friends. Although I do travel for releases, it is mainly local to Other Half or when in the area of Carton/Kane (1 hr). But I do plan on hitting Treehouse/Trillium and my families usual Vermont trip this year. Would like to get to another Dinner release, so may make that a long weekend away with my wife.

There should be an option that says "Drink Beer" instead of "Exclusively Craft". I fall into some of these categories, but I still love shotgunning a can of the non-craft stuff.

 

@alex_delany is right on the mark. Most people who buy craft beer are switch hitters and also drink BMC at varying rates of frequency. Switch hitting is the norm. Craft exclusivists are rare, imo.

 

I selected *Other - explain. I drink craft beer, but split time between beer and wine. This was not an option listed.

 

I voted "Exclusively drink craft beer, travel for releases , trade occassionally" but I'm not above drinking a Coors Light every now and then. I'm just getting a bit into Whiskey and Bourbon as well, but mostly stick to craft beer.

I'm thankfully getting over the having to try every new release from my favorite breweries mentality that I had a year or two ago, that was painful on the checking account!

But more accurately, Mostly drink craft beer, take beercations, put stuff of my choice in a box and send to friends and family and they send a box back full of their choices.

 

I had to pick other because I love a good craft beer but also like to have one of those "crappy" adjunct lagers now and then!

I had to vote other. 90% of the beer I drink is craft. I don't drink spirits but I do drink wine.

When I drink beer, I'm drinking craft beer with mostly no exceptions. And I mean "craft beer" with a lower-case 'c', not Craft Beer as defined by the BA. I don't drink your stereotypical BMC light lagers because I don't really like the taste. Nothing against people who do--taste is a personal thing. The only time I don't drink craft is when I'm playing Adult Sports (softball, kickball) and I want something light that won't be wasted as I physically exert (well, sort of) myself.

But I also love wine and spirits, depending on my mood and if I'm having a nice dinner or not.

As far as my activity related to craft beer: I trade with some regularity (I'd classify it as between "occasionally" and "habitually" and attend releases on occasion, as life with a family permits. I've never traveled farther than a 2-hour drive (one way) for a release, and that's about the farthest I'm willing to travel.

 

I put other as I am PURSING an awesome career in the world of beer!

 

Mine should say - drinks craft beer with a vengence but still likes a few other things too, lost interest in whales and trading but still pursues releases for all the beer I still like even though it's shelf beer. Has started to repeat purchases.

 

90% craft, trading has backed off, I don't travel or have any interest in beer releases, I drink Bud Light twice a week at my shithole near work bar, and on most Sunday's during football season (GoBills!!) so I checked Other

 

Other I guess: beer-wise stick to craft; will also drink spirits on occasion, never been into trading, but do plan stops at breweries during trips/vacations, and visit as many local ones as possible, regardless of special releases.

 

spending more than i can afford on trades, getting very frustrated by beer releases. I'd say my beer bubble is about to pop. need to get into home brewing or something

I voted other because while I mostly drink craft beer I also enjoy drinking some beers that are non-craft. Hopefully in the next week or so I will find the beer I want to buy/drink next: Genny Bock.
