Is the blizzard hitting NY? I know we are suppose to get a few inches in Connecticut. It hasn't snowed here all winter but with the measly 3-6" we are supposed to get I planned on opening my Funky Buddha Last Snow and maybe a North Coast Old Stock. Then I can finally take the Christmas lights down.

Expect to be at the northwestern edge of the storm, but I've got some Yards Love Stout and 27 bottles of home brewed pumpernickel beer that are hopefully carbonated enough. I think I'll survive.

A long weekend requires long beers, pint cans of Two Hearted would make me happy. I hope you are close to a pizzeria so you can have something to munch on while you enjoy your beer.

If you've never had any imperial stouts before, then you really need to treat yourself, man. Get some Old Rasputin, Black Chocolate Stout, Founders Imperial Stout, or Ten Fidy.

I'll be having Union Snow Pants and a bottle of Zywiec Porter I just remembered is in my fridge.

Correct...but for Heaven's sake take your time @RP21 . The suggested beers are not for quick consumption, for many reasons.

BTW, Black Chocolate Stout is my favorite of the 4 that HorseheadsHopHead mentioned. It is currently selling for $7.99 a 4-pack locally. Stocking up!

Check out the Beers of Fame on here. A lot of them are really easy to obtain.

The heavier styles, stouts and Scottish ales, are the base with tasty IPAs thrown into the mix.

Why is everyone storing beer in the fridge? Put it in the garage or in a box right outside the door. Its going to be COLD outside. If the power goes out you don't want to open the fridge too much.

    Just saying I've been there...

    Stay safe everyone!

You'll need to make sure you have some easy drinkers to keep yourself mobile because my blizzard advice also includes going out and enjoying the snow. After that, you will then also need a nice warmer, and something thick and chewy that will need to be served at ambient temp for full enjoyment.
I also advise investing in a sack to be utilized through out. Because bongloads and blizzards are a beautiful thing.

I try to keep a good variety of beers in the basement fridge, then you pick based on the mood and the food.
