sorry im stuck on the Sally Growler(SG) thing but here goes my take
us LIr's have just called both Sea Robins w/out differentiating between the 2 fish...understandable, but not the NJ way.
the pic of the SG on Strippers.com kinda looks like a cross between a killie and Angler fish not what we have all been catching all our lives on LI and that thru me off...guess i've caught thousands of SG's in my life but called them Sea Robins
run into the same type problem when talking Sheepshead, Tautug, Blackfish or Seatrout/ Weakfish
anyway suppose to have a 4pak or or 2 of reg coffee in my hands tonight if that promised Carton delivery happens (i hope)
id like to think i will be rehashing this whole thing SG/SR thing under 12% abv tomorrow night and it should all become clearer
Cheers and thank you to Dad and everyone who ever took me to fishing, most arent alive anymore or are dropping quick... i need to do it more and will...thanks Augie for making me think a bit...oh yea and the beers
Sorry back to your regularly scheduled Carton Reg Coffee 2016 thread

@augiecarton, any possibility you can confirm distro of regular coffee cans is done? Places that got it, got it. I'll be making a trip for a growler fill if that's the case.

I agree, its almost like a chili chocolate combo. Heat from cinnamon tempers the sweetness.

Finally was able to snag 2 cans and I can say this beer lived up to it's billing. Sweet morning coffee taste. Bang on. It's an awesome beer. It will probably take me a bit of time to hunt down it's variants but man I can't wait to try those too. Spectacular.

So I just had a Churro. Have to agree it's ridiculously smooth and tasty. Crazy that it's 12%. Glad I grabbed two 4packs of the irregular. Also glad I waited til today since more Boat!!!!

I missed regular at the brewery but I think I paid $17 locally so I assume it was less.

Kinda on the topic - does carton fill other breweries 1L growlers, or just their own?

They'll fill anything, they just have to put a sticker on it. Technically I think they should be 32oz or 64 as opposed to 1/2L but don't think it's an issue.

$16 at the brewery if I'm not mistaken.

Whats the point of the sticker? Is it more of a "hey, we want our name on this growler too if you use it here" or because of laws relating to contents? @augiecarton

it's a paper sticker you can pull right off. it just makes it about a buck more expensive per growler for us.
of all the laws we have seen that can be related to growlers the one that may be applied to filling other's growlers is the federal law that the label on a bottle must be for the liquid inside. so if you bring someone else's growler rather than not filling it we slap this on, when you leave our place its labeled for us. nice an neat. we very much want to support growler culture, and making people buy a new growler per place is not the way to get that done. this seemed the most easy way to solve everyone's concerns in he spirit of fresh beer from he brewery to the face.

Picked up some irregular before the storm this weekend. I am not a fan of mint flavored anything, but damn is Irish good! Churro even better, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed Irish. My question is, I know regular coffee can be aged/cellared for a different/possibly better taste...I assume the same goes for the variants? I threw these in my fridge when I got home, any problems with aging in a fridge? From what I've read, it just sort of delays the process.
