I think the ba canis was awesome. The rum line was not far behind the ba canis. The evemt was well done. Bodhi $9.99 4 packs sound great. The wolfs ridge disto coming in 6 packs of driftwood and clear sky next week.

Wolf's Ridge was great today. They provided a warm place to wait along with killer coffee and beer to drink. Very organized bottle release. Just finishing up a BA Canis Mexicanus and it did not disappoint. Well done Wolf's Ridge.

What's the deal with that Wolf's Ridge sour 375?

It's a new beer from them. 66 bottles made I was told. It's the Hells aged in wine barrels with Brett and other funky stuff

If you guys see Dieu Du Ciel's Grande Noirceur, I HIGHLY recommend picking up one or more. Really, really solid imperial stout.

Ill be making the trip to the BA black out release from PA. Is there any good pages other than fatheads and great lakes to grab a draft in the area?

Beware, both Fat Head's and GLBC are packed to the gills at all times of all days of the week.

IMO Brew Kettle is better than both and is somewhat nearby, if you're driving all the way from PA the extra 15-20 minutes is nothing.

Hoppin' Frog is my fave in Ohio, if you have the time get everything they have on draft that you can. And bottles that sound good to you too if you can swing it.

Fat Head's is not packed to the gills at all times all days of the week. If he's in town for BA Blackout (Monday or Tuesday depending on if he's going to the party), he'd be absolutely fine at Fat Head's day or night.

Maybe a little exaggerating? I usually go to Fat Heads tap house and get a seat at the bar.... Granted, I go shortly after they open. I agree Brew Kettle is pretty fantastic! I just feel some of their brews can be hit or miss. I would do Fat Heads tap house and Platform personally.

I'm guessing he's referencing the brewpub which does get very packed on weekends. During the week it's easy peasy. Regardless, like you said, the tap house is never crazy. I prefer going there over the brewpub nowadays.

Okay I don't know which Fat Head's you guys are talking about, but if it's the saloon, which is the location most out of towners go to, then I've been there on a Tuesday after 9PM with no scheduled event and the wait for non-bar seats was an hour. So, obviously, if there are bar seats, take them and don't even talk to the hostesses. But still, the place is a madhouse, particularly because it's one of those bars that welcomes children (a huge pet peeve of mine).

However, if you do want to go to the brewery in Middleburg Heights, (and not the saloon in North Olmsted), then you'll be totally fine. Unique atmosphere, clouds aplenty on the walls, indoor picnic tables, lol  However, it has a smaller selection of brews on tap oddly enough.

I suggest if you are on 'Beer Advocate' and are a beer nerd, you will enjoy the Middleburg Heights location better...

Its more about beer and less about food. Limited menu. However what they do have is usually fresh and made daily. Other location is awesome, but I don't get that the staff cares as much at that location. They probably do and all, just that they have WAY more patrons to take care of. Do yourself a favor and go to the location above. Plus as stated... Its less busy.

Someone mentioned Platform earlier. I would highly suggest making that one a stop. Its maybe a half mile or so from Great Lakes. So its pretty much right there.

There is a reason Brew Kettle is not packed and Fatheads is now adays. Just pray Paninis never messes with the beer!

Aside from the other mentions, Townhall across the street from Great Lakes, usually has a great draft list. I will also recommend Platform, one of the better new breweries in Ohio.

Brew Kettle is pretty much an afterthought these days, at least for me. Maybe the new location will arouse some interest, we will see.

We are releasing Lanthrone today, somehow that didn't make it onto our social media sites. It will post soon. Lanthrone is an imperial amber aged in woodford barrels for 14 months
