Tap Room is open today at Noon, but they might close early due to public transportation shut downs.

Haha yea, by that I basically meant exactly how early to show up. I'll wake up at 7 or so and check here to see what the line's like. The line moved so slowly last time I'd rather wait longer before opening, honestly. Standing in a line that moves that slowly is almost more frustrating even if the wait is the same time.

Have now heard/seen OH cans and bottles available at a couple Brooklyn bottle shops, is this going to progress moving forward?

I doubt it - this has happens sometimes when they don't sell out the weekend of a release. I think they had some leftover IPA so they probably just distributed that. It happened with Doug and I think Superfun! at some point, maybe others as well.

I agree with people claiming to be showing up around 2. If it's available great. If it isn't oh well.

This might be a dumb question, but if it was so crazy last year for the event, why would they even think about doing a can release on the same exact day?

    In celebration I guess.

Also, the fact that there was a line to get into the tap room doesn't really mean much. I mean, the brewery can't actually hold that many people. A typical can release already brings many multiples of people that could fit in the tap room at any given time, so it's gonna be slammed either way at a can release. Might as well just combine the two.

The board on their First Anniversary. Lots of classics on there:

It seems to be back around at a few spots in the city (check beermenus)

I understand a celebration, but you would think with the shit shows that have been these can releases, fit would make logical sense to do a party Friday and a release Saturday as opposed to combining it.

Do you enjoy it when other people dictate how and when you should celebrate your birthday?

I don't have hundreds of people lining up to celebrate my bday...

If I had to guess, many of the people that would wait in line to get into a tiny, cramped tap room are the same people that wait in line for cans. It's obviously not complete overlap, but probably a large portion.

I do think it would make sense for them to split it up, but not purely for a crowd issue. They'd probably make more money with the party on a different day. The tap room is already slammed on can release days, and the cans are going to sell out either way. If the party is on a different day, they can fully use the brewery area for overflow instead of having to accommodate the can line, which would let more people in. Maybe this is only a marginal gain though?

That's what I would think. Having the party on a non-can release day would probably get more people there than a normal day.

It's their anniversary event, i would think that would fit under the category of the party.
