Hell of a lineup. And Melvin will be in Boise on Feb 4th.

That website seems broken. I know they're doing 2x4 Day at Toronado in Seattle, but nothing shows up when you click on any city.

For sure thanks! We come over ever 3-6 months and have been for the last year and a half so I try and load up while I'm there. I plan on visiting holy mountain and cloudburst on my next trip.

Moose's work is hosting the Bham stop. 2x4 doesn't really trip my trigger, but if they were bringing the * , I'd be first one through the door. One of the best ImpIPAs I've ever had.

The poster for the Toronado event says they're bringing more than just 2x4 with them.

I saw the list somewhere, but can't find it now. It's much more than just Toronado - Brouwers, Pinebox, Beveridge Place in Seattle. I think there were maybe 4 different Bellingham locations, so you don't need to visit E-Station if you're opposed

    Here it is: http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/melvin-brewing-coming-seattle/

I will go wherever the * is! Plus, The Trainwreck is in Burlington, so Skagit gets some too!

2x4 Day has intrigued me enough to plan to hit up Brouwers that afternoon. Haven't tried any Melvin stuff and I rarely go to events like this anymore but I'm planning on making an exception.

Their stuff is good. Like I said above, the multi-award winning 2x4 doesn't push my personal buttons, but I like it well enough. Other stuff I've had from them I've liked too. But, that Asterisk, that's a whole other pony.

Last year there was all the fanfare for the Melvin/Boneyard/Barley Browns collaboration (which was great), and a few bars had a nice lineup of IPA's from all 3 of those breweries. As far as I'm concerned, Melvin is the cream of the crop in that group. I'm excited to see how the product translates to a much larger scale, but I will miss the days of nobody really knowing or caring about any of their beers, so that I could just drink them all. They used to be the worlds greatest brewery within a Thai restaurant, so we'll see what the future holds.

Cream of the crop out of Barley Brown's and Boneyard? Having not had anything from Melvin, those are some pretty big shoes to fill. I could drink RPM/Hop Venom/Head Shake/Pallet Jack all day.

Very excited for the upcoming event.

I think Melvin makes better IPA's than Boneyard and Barley Browns, yes. All 3 are great, though. Boneyard is probably my 3rd favorite of those - so much inconsistency. Melvin has plenty of hardware to show for their hoppy efforts - but significant increases in scale seem to have detrimental impacts to IPA recipes, so we shall see.

If 2x4 and Hop Venom are peers, i'll take 2x4 100% of the time.

    Opinions and stuff.

Did it say anywhere which beers Melvin is bringing? I'm not that into huge ABV Imperial IPA's and prefer regular IPA's. Definitely hoping they aren't big ass beers like 2x4.

these 6 are listed for an event in Portland so I'm guessing Washington will get some variation of these if not all of them.

2x4 DIPA, Hubert IPA, Melvin IPA, Clinic ISA, and two brand new beers....Shaolin Brew DIPA and Dready Copper IPA

Hmm, so you are saying that 2x4 is better than nototious? Now l' m intrigued, although I doubt anything can top notorious for me. I'm sure that melvins beers are still tasty.
