has anyone noticed if there is a correlation between the Savor breweries and the events during Savor Week?

 

I have not, upon first glance, looks like quite a few new breweries in for this year, as opposed to last year.

 

Abyss is definitely on the shelf at Calvert Woodley

 

half of those i have not even heard of. Big Storm, Black Cloister, Black Tooth, Cape Ann, Confluence, Country Boy, D9, Devil's Canyon, Elk Horn ...

I don't know much about many of those. However, Country Boy is outstanding. From Lexington, KY.

That was my initial reaction when I saw the announcement. I literally don't know close to half the breweries, but it's tradition for my father and I, so we'll probably be going an 8th straight year.

Anyone know if Heir Apparent or Wake n Bake made it to Wegman's out there? Definitely need some and that's the closest store to my folks.

Just to let anyone in this thread know, if you're headed out to SD at any point and would like to set up an IP I'm always down. I definitely miss some of the brews available back there and I'm always trying to spread the SD beer love.

Anyone seen Stone Unfiltered around NoVa?

 

Both should have made it to most of the Nova Wegmans. Heir Apparent may be gone by now, but WnB 4 packs should still be around (Cinnamon Rolled WnB is likely gone).

 

WF Alexandria had it so I'm sure the other WF in NOVA also got shipments.

 

I always like Savor, I think some people were disapointed in the offerings last year - maybe not enough sours but really that isn't my thing anyway.

I do enjoy the event, but feel a bit burnt out on it. I felt that way at the end of the night last year.

 

The Gainesville Wegmans had a good bit of it. It was strange that Virginia seemed to be the last state to get it according to their beer finder...you would think they would take care of their future homesite first.

 

I haven't seen either in the Fairfax Wegmans, and I'm in there all the time. That store has been pretty shitty in terms of limited release beers lately, except for stuff from Hardywood. I was never expecting to see any Heir Apparent there.

 

Heir Apparent still seems to be on tap at Dominion.

 

And Whole Foods Fair Lakes as of 1:30pm. It's yummy.

 

None in Whole Foods Fair Lakes or Springfield yet.
