Deschutes brewery is outstanding. The Fresh Squeezed IPA is the best beer ever made. It's as if Jesus himself brewed it.

Fresh Squeezed is absolutely the beer that saw the most consumption last summer when visiting the US. Tried a lot of beers, but always seemed to throw another 6-pack of that on top of whatever else I was trying out.

I wish that Hop Henge and Red Chair were both available year round.

I wonder if Mirror Mirror will make a comeback this year?

No matter what you get of theirs, you know you are going to get a great tasting beer.

I agree. I also think Deschutes rocks! I almost always have their Inversion IPA in my fridge as a go-to.
And now their Bond street seasonal Hop Henge Experimental IPA is available. I got 4 bombers last night as a matter of fact, at $7 apiece.
And yes, Red Chair is another of my faves.
I love Deschutes, and I also love Bend, Oregon. It is a great place to visit any time of the year!

Obviously I love the Abyss. The black butte series is great as well. The only regular lineup beer I've had from them is black butte. Their porter was not bad, but very bland to me. Love their big beers so far though.

2015 Abyss on draft the other day was just incredible. Up there with the best beers I've ever had.

There was a thread sometime back that asked what brewery you would pick, if you could only have one brewery for the rest of your life. I didn't hesitate to say Deschutes! They make great everyday beer, beer you can buy in six packs for affordable prices (as little as 7.99 around here on sale). Red Chair, Obsidian, and Fresh Squeezed are each my all time favorite six pack beers in their respective styles. (I don't know why, but I've always felt a little let down by Black Butte). And they make interesting variations on standard styles: for example, while I wouldn't want to drink Chainbreaker or Inversion all the time, they are both a nice change of pace. Their Jubelale is one of the best winter warmers around. And then their big beers are amazing ... Abyss, Mirror Mirror, Jubel, the Black Butte XX etc. series. Yeah, I'd be OK with nothing but Deschutes to drink. (Although Surly, Fremont, and Founders wouldn't be far behind.)

Thanks to this post, I just tried (and reviewed) Mirror Mirror and was pleased. Will keep my eye open for Red Chair. I thought Chasin' Freshies was underrated when I tried that last year. Fresh Squeezed tastes juicier to me on tap vs the bottle. Keep it up, Deschutes.

Mirror Pond, Red Chair, Fresh Squeezed and Black Butte are all fantastic. I'd love to try some of their other six pack offerings...I don't care for bombers or barrel aged beers.

Am I the only one who likes Pinedrops? That beer is so nuanced with pine, earth, and a touch of cedar. Amazing beer.

With the ever-expanding options of good beer, I tend to overlook some of the breweries that got me into craft beer in the first place. Deschutes being one of them, with the exception of The Abyss and their other annual offerings that I always seek out.

I bought a six pack of Chainbreaker a couple weeks back and loved it. I hadn't had it in probably 2 years. I was looking for something a bit hoppy, but refreshing and drinkable too. This was the the perfect beer for me that night. Will be making it a staple in my fridge from now on.

I remember the first time I had Deschutes beer. It was a bomber of Black Butte porter and I bought it at a shop in Vegas. I drank half the bomber walking down the Vegas strip out of a paper bag. I drank the other half without the bag taking my chances. Man, did I love that beer.

I've since had Chainbreaker, Fresh Squeezed and The Abyss and have been very satisfied with all. Can't wait to open the Mirror Mirror and Dissident in the cellar.

Deschutes does some amazing beers. Black Butte is one of my all time favorite porters and a great intro beer for those scared of those dark beers. So smooth, tasty and drinkable. Mirror Pond IMHO blows a certain very popular green canned pale ale. Go Deschutes and go happy!!

Love Deschutes! Obsidian is easily one of the best year round and readily available stouts. First Deschutes beer was a black butte porter and immediately became a fan of their brewery. Finally got me some Abyss this year after years of searching (put a little more effort in this year!) and can't wait to crack them in years to come. Gotta pick up some fresh squeezed soon and I am sure it will be solid.
