The tacos at TH are amazing, but expensive. At F&M I hate that apple chicken sausage sammy that they have and it was very good too.

Pretty sure that Spring Hill place is going to be run by the dude who used to sing for punk bands Warzone Womyn and Slices. Unless it's someone else with the exact same name.

I don't see what's so bad about that deal, but I don't mess with JO's much.

Pretty straight forward, I have (6) bottles of 2016 Jackie O's BA Dark App that I'm looking to swap for (6) bottles of the BA Vanilla & Coffee Bean. If this isn't fully doable, I'd be interested in a combo of the BA Vanilla & Coffee Bean, Spirit Beast, Champ Ground or Maple.

I just presume it's someone who made it the brewery when they had the BA, but didn't make it when they had the Vanilla & Coffee. Doesn't seem that outrageous to me, but maybe the ratios are wrong? Like I said, I don't JO's much. I know Black Maple trades higher than the others, but the rest doesn't seem outlandish to me.

Okay, just read that whole PDX Fat Head's thread. Oy vey. Thoughts:
    1. The participating mod kind of pissed me off the most, knowing that he was a semi-local here before.
    2. PDXers kept criticizng FH for not "distinguishing" itself, but also not "fitting in" with PDX fare.
    3. The point was made repeatedly that FH's beer is great but there's so much competition. Of the 84 breweries in the PDX metro area, the ones they repeatedly named as exceptional were Boneyard & Barley Brown. So, then, FH is the 3rd best brewery?
    4. The vibe/atmosphere/branded gripes I can understand, but it's also not that hard to get over.
    5. If the service sucked, it's provided by, presumably, fellow PDXers, so that's on them.
    6. Even with the degree of arrogance presented by the PDXers, they're probably mostly right. 80-85%, anyway.
Sorry to monopolize the conversation with my late-to-the-party critique, but I had to air that laundry somewhere & have no desire to perpetuate that thread.

Been there (Portland/Seattle), and I had a hard time finding a good IPA and I tried most of the local favorites. Great beer scene, but I'd take our Pgh IPAs over their any day. Now sours on the other hand...

First the coffee and vanillia doesnt come out until Friday, and will probably at least make it through the weekend if not longer. Second would you trade an EE BA Grat for an EE Homewood Reserve (sorry I dont know all their BA offerings). If someone has JO's beers, why trade for more JO's beers especially ones that are still available for purchase.

And if he can't make the release for any reason someone should tell him about the hooker method.

Check out both, the tap lists and menu between the two vary a bit and are a short walk from each other.

Of all of them, I thought the mod was one of the most pretentious. If you don't like the "vibe," so what? It's not like you have to live there. If they are pumping out good beer, is the atmosphere really going to keep you away? Roundabout is a little sterile. Not once have I ever factored that in when trying to figure out who I want to fill my growler that night. It was just so over the top ridiculous. Taking my personal opinion of Fat Head's out of the equation, it was still largely an absurd thread.

I'm probably going to have to go to that part of the world in the next few weeks for work. I'm dying to see if Barley Browns and Boneyard stack up to acclaim.

The point is. If someone is going to JO to pick up BA Coffee/Vanilla DA. Why wouldn't they just pick up BA Dark App while they are there ? Its still available, and probably will be available for at least a few more weeks (probably longer).

Then he goes on to say. If you cant trade BA Coffee/Vanilla DA, then I would take BBBM (sold out much faster/trades for slightly more), Spirit Beast (3 per person, only available at their anniv party), or champion ground (sold out just as fast at BBBM).
