Your curiosity nailed it. I'm not entirely sure what they're beer selection is like, but I know that when I go there for graduation (and I will), I plan on ordering some beer. I hope to get some sort of rare type beer.

$40 for 1.5 oz? That seems unbelievably steep. $40 can buy you one or two top-quality beers easily.

They have a fairly decent selection of German beers, and some Belgian as well I believe. Not necessarily things you can't get in bottles if you look, but rare for the area to see them on tap.

Also if I may recommend, the Bauernschmaus is an excellent dish

Absolutely. Recommendations welcome! I've been on a German restaurant binge (I studied German in high school and college, but only just now trying out German food) lately. I've been trying the Viel Weinersnitzel everywhere, so I might go with that again. I'll consider the Bauernschmaus on that great day

Disappointing on their beer selection. I might get some Rochefort #10, since I've only had #8. Then again, I might pick up some Rochefort 6, 8, and 10 for the cycling spring classics this year (and Duvel).

Also to answer the original question, while I would love to try utopia, I just don't think I could stomach that price for 1.5 ounces

I am way too cheap to bite on this. It won't happen , but 10 would be my limit.

That's a beer I want to try someday, but the cheapo/poor college student side of me cringes at the idea of paying $26.7/oz.
