For those who preferred the "original" Black Metal, I picked one up at Specs @ 290/Jones in Houston just yesterday.

 

That label is phenomenal.

I wouldn't risk aging it any longer.

 

I will be going out of my to hoard as many bottles of Funk Metal as I possibly can, and not to trade, but for my own consumption. Hands down my favorite thing JK has made. Just putting it out there now.

 

Being from Houston, I wouldn't know. Never seen it down here. :-/

 

This is going to be a very tasty beverage.

I am so glad to have we a Texas brewer making World Class sours... especially a local one! Long live sours!

Hopefully it makes its' debut in their tasting room soon as I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

HEB Indian Springs has all of the Jester King. Three Cases of Weasel Rodeo, Drinking in the Sun, Wythcmaker, Noble King, The Prince one, Mad Meg and some Orginal Black Metal. I also saw the two new ones from Stone,and Positive Contact from dogfish head.

 

As of this afternoon, HEB Vintage Park (249/Louetta) had 3 cases+ of Weasel Rodeo and what's left of 1 case of Bonnie the Rare. No Whiskey.

 

Whole Foods Plano, Central Market Plano, S&K Beverages, Lone Star all have gotten the new JK beers.

 

If anyone is looking for original Black Metal... I noticed that they have 3 cases of it sitting near the register area of Spec's Brodie in Austin.

I think it's been there for 6 months now, lol. I think they dumped all the leftovers from Austin there when they started shipping out the Farmhouse stuff.

 

i still can't believe they did the funk metal they were joking about...

awesome fucking label though. i cant wait, and i know everything will be sold out by then, to stock up on stuff when i go to see saint vitus.

I have. I don't generally go into Hubble for releases where places get one case, those don't ever see the floor. I try to shop at places where the beer guys don't hoard all the good stuff for friends, it is a waste of my time.

That's one of my go-to places to watch, but I haven't seen anything but the regular weasel out there. They do have an awesome beer selection right now. They even have some tart lychee left.
