Favorite Local Beer

Fresh Central Waters Glacial Trail IPA, until Illumination comes out.

 

Two Brothers Brewing, now brewing in Scottsdale.

 

Free state brewing(Lawrence,ks) yakimaniac

 

If they were still brewing it I'd say New Glarus Brewing Co. Snow Shoe, but since they are not I'll go with Staghorn; it may be a seasonal but it's definitely the beer of theirs I drink the most of.

 

I have three local breweries, within a ten mile radius :

• Wychwood http://www.wychwood.co.uk/ most of whose ales are vile, (only exception being a couple of their summer seasonal brews. Their winter brew "bah Humbug" is undrinkable)

• Hook Norton Brewery https://www.hooky.co.uk/ which does a number of good beers, in particular Flagship and Twelve Days. Some of the brewery machinery is run off a steam engine!
• 
  
• Cotswold Brewery http://www.cotswoldbrewing.com/ Generally their brews are quality but unremarkable, but they've recently introduced a keg Cotswold IPA, on which I had a serious session last month

 

I've enjoyed the heck out of Ebel's Weiss, Prairie Path, and especially Domaine DuPage when in Chicagoland. Underrated stuff.

Smartmouth Notch 9 or O'Connor Great Dismal IPA... a little less local, but still within 25 miles, Commonwealth Wapatoolie IPA when on draft

 

a ton of options now a days, but for me my local favorite is Maplewood's Charlatan. Great beer, cool guys that run the brewery and great beer. Did I mention the beer is great?

Ok, yeah I am around Harford County so everything is a hike to get local beer...except DuClaw..

That's a rough one. Have to say Karben4 Idiot Farm has been my favorite beer within 25 miles of me, but that's a once a year thing. For a regular choice though, Fantasy Factory is where it's at!

 

Sante Adarius 831. We actually have a few breweries around now, but Sante Adarius is clearly the best, and 831 is an outstanding IPA

I would have to say, if going for absolute favorite beer, either Schlafly Tasmanian IPA (TIPA) or Modern Brewery Citrapolis. It's really a toss up between those two.

 

Within 25 miles? Probably Congress Street by Trillium.
