It turns out that I've only had sixteen of the top 100 rated beers... I've got some catching up to do!

Heady Topper, the Plinny's and Julius. I have tried almost all the mid-west sought after beers though, happy for that!

Come to think of it, there are a few classics I've yet to try. RR Blind Pig springs instantly to mind, as does Rogue's XS Imperial Stout, Weihenstephaner Korbinian, and Delirium Tremens.

Haven't really made much of an effort to trade for Blind Pig (shouldn't be hard, though), and Rogue's ceramic bottles are ridiculously overpriced, but the latter two have no excuse from my end.

I've been drinking craft beer for 10 years, and I've never had a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. I love Sierra Nevada and always have plenty on hand. Just never got around to that one...

Yea you gotta try that one man! You're missing out!

But anyway IDK if they are exactly classics in the strictest sense but for me it would be Great Lakes Brewing. Just in general, not a specific beer. Have heard really great things about them but unfortunately no Distro out here so they've remained out of my hands.

Thanks! Will definitely take a look at that site. I've had both the St. Bernardus XII and the Rochefort 10 and both are tremendous. Westy XII just has so much allure to it.

The vast majority. Using the Beer Advocate lists as a loose criteria - of the current Top 250 I've had eight, and of the Beers of Fame 250 I have had 14. I don't trade and I do go a-whalin', so I get what I get and am happy. I have never had TreeHouse (which probably should cost me my MA resident card).

Nor have I (I do want to try them though), but I would never consider them "classic". Get back to me in maybe 5, and more like 10 years and let's see where they're at.

5 years ago what was the number one IPA on this site, Fuzzy Baby Ducks, maybe Sculpin?

Only considering what is distributed to my area, I can't think of many that I would consider 'classics' that I haven't had other than some European imports.

People are considering Tree House beers 'classics', really?

Really? I lived in NJ for 3 years and these are had fairly easily. OB opening up in North Carolina really upped East Coast distribution and I have only found fresh Troegs in NJ and PA. FWIW, I wasn't impressed with NN. Where in NJ are you located?
