Sweet! Do you happen to remember which version of BA Rasputin? (I think there are three or four different variations floating around now)

I believe there are two versions this year, Wheat Whiskey and Rye Whiskey. Both were at K-1 last night for $24.

Don't even bother with Abyss at Arrowine. They presold all theirs and according to their beer guy it was because it's a busy weekend and didn't want to deal with it. Never announced it either.

Is this going to be the norm at Arrowine?

I called them yesterday and asked if they have the Abyss variants and he said he had about 50 of them but they were pre-sold and I asked how to get on the list and he said if you come and buy lots of beer from me, you can make it. So I'd guess, yes, it is.

Last year they got something like 5 cases and didn't have a bottle limit. The first 2 guys in front of me each bought a case. I'm guessing all the complaining after that may have had something to do with the change. It sucks not being on the list but there's really no right way to do a big release and please everyone.

Without VA, this would be a very slow moving thread.

Anyways, Lighthouse Liquors has OTWOA (singles @ 3.99 from 1/23), Evora, C.R.E.A.M., Crystal Row, the new Victory IPA's and more.

Also, Canton Crossing had OTWOA, but the guy in front of me got the last 2 6-packs for $17.99. How much is it at the brewery?

But there's a way to do it fairly. The fact that they didn't even announce this "presale" in their newsletters, twitter, facebook, etc etc makes this shady. I've spent a lot of money in that place over the years. But if that's the norm, I'll spend it elsewhere.

Is there a difference between regular Noble Rot and Oak Aged Noble Rot?

I hear you. If I spent a lot of money there I'd want access to limited releases and be pissed too. Just saying if they did another release with no limits, they'd piss off a more important crowd - the folks that spend the most at their store that didn't end up with a bottle.

Oh totally. 1 bottle per person is the way to go on these things. Drove over to MOM's and got a bottle of Abyss. First time I've been there and the beer selection is nice. I'll be heading there for beer more often now.
