Judging by the beers of fame list I am lagging way behind on all things Belgian.. one that immediately comes to mind is Westy 12

I feel the same way most of the time. "Man, I should really throw this Grand Cru in the fridge and drink it...Nah."

Up in Canada and made trips to pick up Heady, Sip O Sunshine, BCBS etc. but CCB's Huna is worth trying to get 100%. Beau's up in Ontario got '13 and '15 kegs for an Oktoberfest and it's the one beer to truly blow me away. I've been wowed by others but nothing has been like Huna, for me.

I've heard Abraxas and Mexican Cake are similar.

Not really a whalez hunter so I don't trade ot travel far for beer. The result? A list too long to type here. Suffice to say that I have yet to have 68 of the Top 100 Beers of Fame and 93 of the first 100 on the current Top 250 list. I'm satisfied to chip away gradually. :sunglasses:

Think I've had most of the classics. Next up for me will be:

    Trillium hoppy beers
    Tree House hoppy beers
Hill Farmstead - not sure when this will happen. I've heard it's difficult to trade for.
Toppling Goliath hoppy beers n stouts
Cigar City hoppy beers and stouts

Oh I've seen Ten Fidy I just seem to always walk past it. Nugget Nectar I've just recently found a couple days ago for he first time in 3 years. I've never seen Arrogant Bastard just the variants, the rye, double....

...but that is about to change!

I am going to hit New England with a vengeance this coming spring!

ps-It helps that while changing lanes I don't have to use the turn signal up there! :grinning:

I've made a habit of "ticking" nearly all of the classics. Getting most of them a decade ago was much easier than today as very few other people cared.
Abbaye De Saint Bon-Chien is one of the only ones I've never had. I've just never encountered it for whatever reason.

I've tried to hit as many as possible through trading, but there's a lot of big beers out there.

    Parabola
    King Sue
    Anything from Trillium
    Black Note
    Westy
    Huna
    Abraxas
Any of the big Toppling Goliath stouts

    Pliny the Younger
    Kern River Citra
    Fuzzy Baby Ducks
    Focal Banger
    And ....
    Bud Light
Coors Light - Probably the only 2 here that are true "classics".

So so many. This would take pages to list. I think I have had most national distro flagships but there are tons of great lambics and stouts I have yet to try.

It always shocks me how often you'll see terrific lambics (both sweetened and not) just sitting around on store shelves. Many aren't expensive either. While Cantillon, 3F, and Tilquin seem to get all of the attention - most of the others have some A+ beers on their resume too.

Never had any of these beers but I've been meaning to for a while now:
    Chimay
    Duvel
    Rochefort
I'm not crazy about Belgian beer so that's a big reason why I haven't but still I can't believe I've tried over 700 different beers and have yet to try these classics
