I usually get there at 11 and have never been shut out for beer. If they're doing one-off bottles and you really want to grab a few, you're better off getting there around 10. A line usually forms at 9am, with people going early to guarantee bottles and have a little share.

Anyone traveling to the release from the Athens area? Looking for possible car pool?

 

Anyone know if they fill half growlers or just the regular sized ones?

 

From what I've seen, they will indeed fill half or full growlers.

 

Would someone that goes be so kind as to notify the board when they sell out of Blabe today? I can't make it up there until 2 or so and would definitely make the drive if I can still score some.

Also - any rumors when the taproom is supposed to open? Opening line up looks amazing

 

Supposedly line wrapped around the road and they opened early per a Facebook post. If this is the case they really should make a public announcement to let people know.

 

I just walked into line and people are carrying it out already. Have to park on road today. Prepare to walk

Opened the doors around 10:30...I'm assuming to clear some of these people out. They have a serious issue on their hands with parking as they get bigger.

No growler fills. Pretty sure this will be sold out sooner than later. Huge turn out and parking is down the road.

 

In line at 9:30 and back on the road by 10:45, perfect scenario

 

Got in line around 10:10 and back on the road with Blabe an hour later. It was a good move to open early, otherwise it would've been a shit show. Not their fault.

 

Sorry they did open up for growler fills around 1200

 

Sold out...got here at 11 and still didn't get any. Second time in three trips walking away empty handed from CLE.

 

Couldn't even get a glass they tapped out too. Everybody wants some and wangbar also tapped out. Nothing left but cultrider and skittley.

 

Also got there at 10:55 and cans were gone by the time I stepped into building at about 12:20. Thanks to @invertalon for selling me and a fellow Ba a 4 pack so we didn't leave empty handed. I swear there were more people for Saddle release. Curious on total production. My guess is Maine had an impact.

I am not a huge fan of limits, but if you go back a few months to my comments when I actually aquired beer, I think it is time for a 2 or 4 packs per person limit.

Still a good time sharing beers and stories. Half a case per person is a lot of beer and sends everyone home happy and drunk though.
