Was wondering the same thing. Canned this morning and got delivered a few hours later. Talk about fresh! Saw the hop bill and was pretty excited. Lawlessness was out today too.

This beer is called the Cherimoya Project . I had the kaffir lime & the bergamot orange next to each other at the brewery the other day. I slightly preferred the lime since the orange was a bit sweeter. The lime lacked a bit of aroma I was expecting/hoping for however.

I wish they would brew the batch with pomelo again from the town hall anniversary party.

FWIW(not much), I'm generally not a fan of barrel aged beer either, and Jackie O's is rather heavy handed in barrel flavor. But I like that they use good barrels and the booze usually is well incorporated in to the beer.

And the personality, or lack there of, definitely matters to many, not just me.

Back to ' new to ohio'...

Technically it's called 'Kaffir Lime' which is part of the 'Cherimoya Project'. I can't let ya get away with calling it simply 'Cherimoya Project'. When 3 others are set to come out this year of said project.

    Bergamot Orange (Feb/April)
    Pomelo Asian Grapefruit (May/July)
    Meyer Lemon (August/October)

I'm being an ass... But that is the lineup of the 'Cherimoya Project'

Do they use actual cherimoya's in the beer?

They claim to... Each pale ale has the same recipe, with the expection of each respective exotic fruit.

I was being tongue-in-cheek when I corrected you. I think the name 'The Cherimoya Project' is a little laughable.

I sorta figured... Joking aside, I actually just added it as 'Cherimoya Project Kaffir Pale' since it what was on the can that way... Yeah, a lil lenthy! Honestly it wasn't very mind blowing, pretty danm good though considering the price point. I saw the platform van deliver it as I was at the store. Cool to see the lil guy out about their footprint!

I just sent a crowler as an extra in a trade, and Im interested to see what a non-local thinks. And you're spot on, the price is right.

Not New to Ohio necessarily, but in Toledo Mad Tree has arrived and I'm really enjoying what I have sampled so far, Thunder Snow and Pyschopathy.

Hoping to go to the next Nut Smasher release, whenever that will be for sure. I have been to Willoughby before, but was curious how it went down. Inside or outside for the most part, limits, times, etc.

I've heard that Rick is entertaining the idea of having a ticketed release. Also hearing there are 1,000 bottles at 2pp, so a lot of people will be able to get bottles this time around.
