That makes so much more sense. My bad!

They do, and I had it there as well. I am surprised they still have it because the first time I tried it there was 2 years ago.

    Tweak.
Last year's is still going strong too.

I bought Double D's and Fiel al Estilo and should have tried them first before buying 6 of each, I would have kept it to 2 or 3 if I had.
Neither was bad, even kind of liked them. But not $12/bottle kind of like. I guess I just got used to 18% big rich full beers. These were much weaker in ABV and the styles themselves are obviously just not as big.
I liked the ginger in D's and the pepper in Fiel. But overall I could have settled for a couple instead of my usual half dozen.
So note to self: Try them first.

That's the really good part about Avery upping production. Before, you went to the release and bought the limit before you even tried them. Occasionally you could open one after going through the line and then get back in line. Now bottles sit longer and you can try them before committing

And they had both on tap, so it was a whole lot of presuming on my part

Are you saying Tweak is about to be released?

I was just about to chime in with this. Both of them are still on tap. They sound pretty weird so I was hesitant to even commit to a $9 5oz pour. The bartender poured me a taste of Fiel and I'm not a fan. Glad to hear you enjoyed it enough to justify a few bottles. I found it cloyingly sweet with an unpleasant tequilla aftertaste. I love a good barley wine but this was too far out there. Didn't try the Double D's yet so I can't comment on that.

Looks like Avery's got a name and a blend for #34:

Lunctis Viribus (45% Cab Sauv, 45% Tequila Sour and 10% Eremita IX)

How is Avery's new batch of Tweak tasting? Any details on brewery price? I've noticed the barrel aged series has been going up in liquor stores.

Got my bottles and had 5oz on tap. Pretty much what I remember from the fresh batch last year: strong bourbon with strong coffee/espresso flavor.
Bottles are $12/12oz, tax included, no limit that I saw @ the brewery

Picked up 4 bottles of Tweak at Avery yesterday. Believe there was a 1 case limit. excited to crack 1 open and share it with some friends during the big game on Sunday.

Also asked about the UJ release and was told the 21st. Assumed February, but maybe she meant March seeing as it is not on Facebook yet.

I am anxious to see what others think of this new batch as my buddy wants some but is nervous because I think he got a bad bottle from batch one.
Will be stopping by Avery on Saturday, hopefully they still have some left!

I asked the other week and was told that it would be released right around the time of the Strong Ale Fest (March 5th). Unfortunately that's pretty much half way between February 21 and March 21, so I can't really draw any conclusions. Either way, the sooner the better; I've been pretty sad ever since they kicked it in their tap room a few weeks back.

Last year the release date was 2/22, so 2/21 makes sense, but not sure.
