I'm reviving this thread because I want to shout from the rooftops how great of a value Sierra Nevada's mixed 12 packs are right now. 3x SNPA, Torpedo, Snow Wit, and Coffee Stout, for ~$16. Snow Wit is not great, but the rest are (IMO of course) world class. The Coffee Stout especially, I think that beer deserves its own thread. I'm amazed that Sierra Nevada is releasing that coulda-been whale in freakin' everyday 12 packs- for $.11 an ounce! Blows my mind! I simultaneously want to share it with everyone I know and also horde every bottle for myself. I can only hope that this mixed pack sticks around for a loooong time (maybe replace the Snow Wit for something else- Tropical IPA for the summertime???:stuck_out_tongue:)
No, I was not paid by SN to post this, just want to share the good news!

Saranac puts out seasonal variety packs that are always fun to try. Sierra Nevada, Victory. When I buy cases it's either to try the new beers in it so the more the better, or I will buy cases of lager styles.

Agree 100%. I just picked up the Sierra Nevada 4-Way IPA pack for $13.49 and if there's a better value somewhere, I haven't seen it. Delicious beers and fresh too! Everything is within a month of the packaging date.

Sam Adams 12-packs are great, too. I picked up their Spring Variety Cabin pack ($14.49) and LOVE the fact that they include 6 different beers. The Scotch Ale is fantastic, especially for a lower-ABV version of the style.

I'll gladly let everyone else buy barrel-aged, imperial, overpriced bombers. Give me 24 fresh, high-quality beers (10 different varieties!) for $28 every time. I couldn't be happier.

I'm loving the Devil's Backbone Adventure Pack. Some awesome collabs in there - if they can win me over with a delicious 3.5% session ale, you know they've done it right!

I second the Devil's Backbone Adventure. This most recent has collabs with Wicked Weed, Surly, NoDa and some more. How can you go wrong buying that?

St. Bernardus has an excellent variety pack. ABT12, Pater6, Prior8, Wit, Triple and Watou Triple included. All are world class brews.

The Deschutes' variety I got was very good with not a stinker in the bunch...
    Pinedrops IPA
Black Butt Porter...errr I meant "Butte"
    Mirror Pond Pale Ale
    Armory Experimental Pale Ale

The Pinedrops is a little weird to me but good anyway....

I wish there was an Alpine variety pack.... Just got some Duet and want to try some others.
Alpine just became available in Pittsburgh... I hate PA's liquor laws.... We are the last to get everything <pout pout>

For anyone in the PA area, Victory does a good 12 pack sampler: 3 each of Golden Monkey, Headwaters Ale, Hop Devil, and Prima Pils. All are really good beers, and Hop Devil in particular is great.

I've gotta give it to the Devil's Backbone box as well. It was pretty nice last year, loved the Fat Head's collab. This year is real solid, containing collabs with Sun King, Surly, NoDa, and Wicked Weed. A hopped up cream ale, session IPL, double IPA, coffee/oak brown, and a Imp Stout. A real nice mix of brews. The only thing that would improve the box is if Devil's Backbone made a new beer for it, rather than their old staple Vienna Lager. (Still a tasty brew though)

I'm a huge fan of Lakefront. Fixed Gear, Riverwest, Fuel Cafe, IPA, Eastside Dark and a seasonal which will likely be the maibock here soon if it isn't already.
