Poor form from Steady Habit -

They were supposed to be open at 11:00 yesterday, but were late. They opened up ~30 minutes late. That's not cool, but not the end of the world. However, somebody commented about it on facebook and said they came at 11:00 and waited around but here was nobody there and no word of when they would open. Steady Habit offered no apology and basically just said "this isn't our full time job". I would quote it directly, but the post has been taken down.

I understand they are a small operation, but this is just bad business. They should be very apologetic for inconveniencing somebody who came out to support them. I almost went yesterday, but am very glad I did not because I was on a tight schedule. I want to support these guys and like their beer, but this doesn't sit well with me. A simple "We're very sorry" would have been enough.

yeah, that is not smart to post that as a business. lol. at least they were smart and removed it. either honor your hours or change them to something manageable.

the bunny is tasty though. I hate coconut foods but it's still very good. almond joyish. brought my 1st to a share tues & all enjoyed. one left for another sat during football.

Was first person there on the 19th at around 1045. First visit so I had no clue what to expect. Big Bad Bunny was on. Everyone arrived after I got there, but head Brewer didn't make it until about 15-20 after so we had to wait outside until about 1120. He apologized and let us right in for fills. Could be worse I suppose but some folks didn't like having to wait.

If you want to be world class, service is key. I get these guys are new and are trying but opening on time should be simple, especially since you make your own hours. Just my take. Some customers are willing to driving a long way to visit, so time matters.

Regardless, solid beer. Hopefully they get better with time. I'll pay them another visit to support them. Cheers!

If you can make the ride down tomorrow it's worth it for the new toasted almond stout. It's better than Bunny in my opinion

Anybody have the last batch of Coalesce? I had to drain pour my growler. Tasted like medicinal rotten pineapple. This has always been my favorite beer from SH, but dayuuummm. Yuk!

I know my brother has had an issue with a bad fill in the past from them. He contacted them and they were very nice and accommodating. They filled another growler for him the next time he was in.

I never post here but I feel like I need to share my experiences with Steady Habit. I have made 170 plus brewery stops since the beginning of 2015 at 130 or so different breweries. The service at Steady Habit is hands down, by far, the worst... not even close.

I had an awful experience last month and today's visit was even worse. You will remember me for sure since I walked out without trying anything. Or maybe you won't since I was the third or fourth person on line and you never looked past the first person... and you barely acknowledged him. There were 5 or so people in line, 3 people "working", 2 beers on tap, and 1 beer being poured about 75% of the time. Some people wanted to taste the beer before filling growlers which is great for $1 per taste. What is not great is taking one person's 5 empty growlers, setting them on the table, filling one at a time, and then moving to the next person to repeat the process. Why not pour a taste of each beer for the next few customers so they can decide WHILE you are filling 5 growlers of 1 of your 2 beers? Why not pause between growler fills to pour tasters? Why wait for the next person to get to the front of the line, then make them PAY for a taste, then let them choose which beer to fill, and then fill their 4 or 5 growlers? Why not have one of the other employees fill from the other tap? AND it's going to suck when you're down to ONE beer on tap in a matter of minutes.

Your beer might be good... it is actually amazing... but you need to take a lesson from pretty much any other brewery in New England when it comes to service. Very disappointed that I won't be enjoying your beer during the Super Bowl. However, I won't go home empty handed as I am pretty sure I will have better luck at Beer'd, Gray Sail, Proclamation, and Trillium today. It's a damn shame because you make some killer beer.

I'm hoping to grab some tomorrow. I usually swing by at 3~ and have no line, but wonder if that will change tomorrow. I have a tight time frame to work with. John said he will be posting limits as well.

Don't waste your time coming down. I was #33 when they opened (7 minutes late) and its 2:18pm and I'm 12ish. Horrible!

Last week there was 1 person in front of me and it still took over 20 minutes to get 2 growlers. And their prices are higher than TH. Was gonna go today, but got some Duet and Captains Daughter at my local packy. I like their beer and they are conveniently located to my job, but the customer experience is atrocious.
