Good morning BAs! Starting out as a pretty average day here in NW PA - totally overcast and in the 40s. Might as well have an incredibly average beer:



Not that it's bad, it's just not very good. In fact it's incredibly average. It just makes my lips sticky. Of course I could just be spoiled after going to the Sharp Edge Creekside in Crafton for lunch yesterday and hit happy hour - Rodenbach Foederbier on tap for $ 7/10 oz tulip. I tried to get our waitress to serve me by the liter, but to no avail. Mrs. Lizard had to drive home.

Woke up early, walked the mutt, made breakfast, now it's time for my Monday morning favorite while watching some Super Bowl hype on the tube. I need to get motivated and tidy up around the house later. Let's get through Monday and have a great week!

 

Great Leap Brewing tonight with the bro in law. The original #6 hutong location. Drank a lot of beer and I'm not gonna lie I went home feeling mighty fine! First off Wabi Sabi Pale Ale and the Accelerator followed by Chesty Puller IPA then a Cinnamon Rock Ale and Finished her off with a Liu The Brave Mocha Stout! Enjoyed some Beijing lamb skewers and chicken wings with drinks tonight. Pretty good beer!

I just got off the roof; the crew will do some shingle replacement, then pressure wash/clean the roof today.

Good morning, all! The question I've been asking myself lately is "Am I worthy?" It would appear that I now have my answer. This is drinking like a slightly less hot Samichlaus Classic: caramel, dark bread, dried dates, figs, and a sticky bittersweet finish. I'd have to be an Arrogant Bastard to even think about approaching this with a clean glass in hand, wouldn't I?

Night out got curtailed yesterday due to a a relative's emergency. Came back home. Opened a wine for my wife. Bottle was corked. What to do? Velvet Merlin to the rescue for our chicken enchilada pie - awesome. #beerwins

 

Probably the only day of the year I'll be able to do this, as I now only have two Hopslams left and I doubt they will make it through the day.
