New to Ohio (2016)

So is Hopslam and Nugget Nectar dropping at the same time then? Any spottings on the west side yet? May go hunt some down on lunch break.

 

Picked up 3 cases of Hopslam at Kroger in Troy, OH on Saturday. It was on their inventory cart and not on the shelves so I think I got the jump.

 

Woo, somebodly likes Hopslam. Don't think I have had 1/5 of that amount since it came out many moons ago.

 

Buddy paid $19.99 for a six pack at Giant Eagle. Absurd.

 

Same here. Especially with Juju coming out in the next week or so, followed by Chillwave. They need to space these releases out better. Will probably limit me to a sixer of Hopslam since I like the others better and get them fresher.

 

Nugget Nectar should be readily available until Labor Day weekend I would think.

 

Chillwave was one of my favorites before GL shit the bed, won't even bother this year. Their QC has been horrendous.

Wasn't able to find NN but Simones in Lakewood did have heaps of Hopslam, Prairie Ape Snake, Jackie Os Lanthrone, and some FFF stout (think it was Blot Out The Sun). Also mentioned they have a few cases of SMS but can't put it out until the 15th. One obligatory sixer of Hopslam per year is enough for me. They also had a few mini kegs for $40.

 

Any Toledo NN sightings yet? Might head down this weekend.

Which is a minor bummer. But to me Hopslam isn't such a fresh green brew. The honey kind of knocks that freshness (Hop Dankness) off anyway. It holds as good or better than ANY IPA. So I'm not complaining. I am however, curious how an 'Enjoy by' gets here in less than a week from 48 states away and 'Hopslam' takes a month and a half from one state away

Well I hope this is better than last year casue last year was not good. If not I'm done buying hopslam. Two years ago I thought it was really good

 

How is the Juju distro? Similar to Stalker and TrailHead but with less shelf time?
This is my first time in the state for the release so I'm just wondering if I'll see it in the same spots where I picked up the others.

 

If last year is any indication - yes. It will be all over but go quicker (Cincy).

 

I care more about this than Hopslam....but that's me.

 

You could have walked into a big grocery store and bottle several cases if you wanted when it hit distro in NE OH last year.
