We can definitely make arrangements for such an occasion......while we share a bottle of course.

Be careful with beerness and trying to help bring him to reality. I've tried a time or two over more than a few beers and it has come near to one or both of us being thrown over a 16th floor balcony! I'm just sayin'.... I kid, I kid!

Charlie, I'm on for the football bet! Same terms or you can name them!

Oh, Shane....I knew I could count on you to take it there. [but this year, State really does have a chance in bball  ]

As for football....6th time's a charm, right? Good luck with that! Bets on!! (Terms TBD)
Let's open some bottles and "discuss" our differences  .....in the BASC line. I'm bringing my bro this year, and if you think I'm a loud State fan....

I already know you're a loud state fan. And I don't even know you. We will see about football. Before your 5 year run UNC had the 5 year run. And in bball.......Roy is 23-1. So he has that going for him. But state is due there.

Haha...looks like we'd be good friends  when you grow up in NC not wearing a shade of blue, you either get loud, or you get ignored. I don't get loud really, til Shane pops the Hunahpu.

And actually, 3-2 the 5 years before O'Brien took over. Roy has dominated the Wolfpack so far...but he did have the luxury of beating up on Sidney Lowe (who was a horrendous college coach). The Gottfather is here to change things, and this is the first time in the past 20+ years that State actually has the better team (according to experts)

Now I'm guaranteed to be decked out in red in the BASC line...so you can find me and discuss the rivalry. And I'm planning on being at the Friday pre-party too...assuming there is one.

Whoops. I was thinking of the 7 in a row we won. Had to look that up to verify. When you get old, all those good memories just seem like they were yesterday. At least I wish they were.

Does anyone remember what time the line really started to form at the last release?

For the regular sexcho this year it was around 3 I think. I can tell you that I got there around 430 and the line was 100 deep.

The bottle release count will guide you as to when you need to line up. Also, I wonder whether the Ebay crackdown might dissuade some folks.

Foothills generally likes to announce it 1-2 weeks ahead of time so only the "real" fans
of SC can make it happen and be there. Sexual chocolate is life.

The last update from Jamie say probably the weekend of Sep 7-8. That's LESS THAN two weeks from now and no official word. Starting to think that day may be doubtful, which is a shame. I don't think I can make the next weekend and I KNOW I can't make the one after that.

ok, first, sorry for the slow progress. we are really busy and there really is too much happening at the same time.
the release will be ogn Sept 8th at 10am. Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate Imperial Stout was aged in 20yr pappy van wnikle barrels for about 9 months. we will open our restaurant at 8am, when people can come in, sit at tables and enjoy a beverage while they wait. really the same deal we usually do. we will be doing a party friday night like normal, please feel free to come in, bring beers to share, trade, etc... this will be in the back of the brewery like normal. there are approximately 1250 bottles for sale. thanks, hope to see you there. Can I get some friendly advice from a seasoned BASC release goer? I'm driving from VA so I don't have time to hang out. What time should I be there to guarantee some bottles and then hit the road? Also do people bottle share in line? Thanks in advance and see ya there!

If you are driving a long way it would be safe to get there before 5.

There used to be an awesome bottle share in line, it was probably the best part of the release, but it is most likely no more... It also USED to be one of my favorite releases. Now I have to convince myself to make it over there.

If it's like the past couple releases then you will be allowed to share bottles in line, but only until about 5 am. Also, you must be somewhat reserved in doing so. In other words, no stumbling up and down the street with open bottles in your hand causing a ruckus. As long as you were respectful, the Winston Salem police were very cool about the whole thing. And like always, foothills welcomes bottle sharing inside when they open at 8
