Just found some Abyss Cognac variant (no Rye) at Yes! on 14th St; couple of bottles left ($16.99). Also had plenty of GI Bourbon County Stout and Barleywine, though at $14.99/16.99.

I actually laughed out loud at the prospect of paying $45/60 just to enter their stinking brewery in the middle of nowhere/the hood. No beer or food included for $60? Oh but there's a $200/pp tix with "guaranteed access" to the collaborations (none of which anyone has tried).

I'm sorry but these guys have some fackin balls.

@davidsonrva I think they still had the GGW though I wasn't looking...

Seriously?? That's $8 less than I paid last week, and I just got home and saw this after being in that area all day! Damn my luck!

16.99 for rye and 14.99 for BCBS? They must have gotten charged for regular abyss or made a mistake. 14.99 is high for BCBS that averaged 10-12

Yeah, no kidding-- I was shocked to stumble on Abyss Cognac there, and at such a nice price. Must have been some sort of mistake, as they are certainly not pricing the BCBS cheaply.

I mean it's basically a concert with a brewery release slapped onto it. Food is almost never included in the price of concert tickets and the beer usually sucks at most concert events. It's ridiculous if you just went for the beer. Concert/brewery releases are hard to manage, because the people that enjoy a particular breweries' beer aren't all into the same type of music.

    Disclaimer: I won't be going.

Total Wine Chantilly had a mountain of Nugget Nectar bottles (and 2 1/6 barrels not locked up, one of which I bought), and probably 15 cases of pineapple Sculpin...not sure if that was a joke saying it is "SUPER RARE" above, but it is the first time it is available here so those two cases at the one place are the 1st two they have ever had...so people are probably interested.

Someone earlier was asking about Mirror-Mirror at Harris Teeter. The HT in South Riding nearest Aldie had a dozen or so bottles this morning. Last year they had a ton of it and ended up blowing it out for $6 a bottle...not likely again.

Haha yea, I was definitely joking. It's true that some people might want to be the first to try it, but give it a few months and Pineapple Sculpin will be everywhere. Only a matter of time before it's a shelf turd at those prices.

Couldn't care less about the Sculpin variants. Just wish I could find fresh regular Sculpin from time to time.

Do you recall the price on the NN? Doubt I'll make the trip over there if it's $14.99.

Many cases of both pineapple sculpin and nugget nectar at TW Alexandria. Also NB La Folie, Kriek, and a couple of bottles of Heir Apparent...no sump though

Hadn't realized this but Pizzeria Paradiso Georgetown has switched its happy hour from half-price drafts to $4 drafts... and they have Abraxas and Dinosmores on now, among some other great picks. $4 Abraxas, anyone?

Yeah, they did this a few months back because people weren't buying enough of the expensive beers.

Then save the gas....it was $14.99. The keg on the other hand was very cheap when compared to others...$85. I realize they probably didn't intend to sell any of the kegs, as they save those for growlers...they just happened to put it in the wrong spot.
