There was one guy that was entirely too drunk to drive but was insistent upon driving home. Absolutely crazy. Sure, I've gone down there and tied one on but I had a designated driver. My friend and I take turns driving, allowing one to drink while the other stays sober. It's crazy that this even needs to be mentioned. Beer is cool. Not driving into a ditch or a tree or a car coming the other way is even cooler.

I thought it was common sense that if you are the only possible mode of transportation, you shouldn't get too drunk to drive. Unless the guy was underage, I think we're all mature enough to know our limits.

You'd think so, but I see enough of it all the time to know that many are not mature enough.

But enough preachin', how about some canned, cloudy IPA's?!?!

I don't think anyone would contest the legality of it, but it is sad to see it go away when the bottle sharing made it so much fun! Definitely tried some bucket list beers at Hoof.

Hoof brewed a new gose today, so that's neat.

Also- love comments that start with a mild critique and breweries that are preferred to Hoof, and then end with "hazy and juicy IPAs aren't really my thing."

They'll probably just sell tickets so everyone can be lazy.

HH needs to have its own tabloid, so I can wipe my ass with it.

This seems unnecessary. Many people like their beers and would probably enjoy reading their tabloid.

Exactly my point. And I love HH for the record. It's just people have gone from shaming them for their name to busting a nut over their beers to claiming their beer isn't worth it if they can't get a case or can't be on Facebook. Not to mention the constant back n forth on the cloudiness. A tabloid sounds appropriate. Just a cynical take on their history because beer people are cray cray lately.

    FTFY.

I do recall espousing the merits of HH's beers quite a bit before they started canning and such. Not really surprised that everyone is digging them. What I am surprised about is the number of people who don't like their beer, but like other super hazy hopped fruit juices from the NE.

Correct. You are the main reason I sought their beer out back when they did their collab with The Daily Growler, and most people were still making fun of their name on the New to Ohio thread. The South of Eleven wasn't "better than Bodhi" for me like it was for the guy who poured my beer, but it was damn good enough to drive to Morrow County for the first canning. Little did I know that they were about to start cranking out stuff as good as that Sip of Sunshine we drank together.

I don't think I've seen anyone here say they don't like their beer. I have seen bewilderment, bemusement and maybe a little snark, but no dislike. It's personal preference.

    That's quite true.

I'm really, really, REALLY hoping that he'll can a batch of the Double Dry Hopped Amarillo Wangbar that I had at Ohio Taproom. My good lord was it amazing. It drank like a super fresh batch of Gumballhead with even more peachy goodness. At 10%, it was one of the most dangerously drinkable beers I've ever had.

Kind of bummed they are doing a Thursday night opening. I plan on going Friday night as of now so hopefully they don't run out of anything.
