False alarm, per the intern running NG's Instagram account, yesterday.

As much as I want cans of moon man, they just corrected that post and said it is a new keg line, not a canning line :slight_frown:

Yep! I know it won't happen but Scream out of a 16 oz tall boy can would be exquisite.

Really hoping for a return of Edel-Pils and Dancing Man Wheat. I can't go two summers in a row with no Dancing Man...

I missed it so much last summer. I didn't care as much for Hopster but I may have enjoyed it more if it had come out in the heat of summer rather than when there was still slush on the ground.

Canned Moon Man would be awesome. Especially if it comes at the same prices as the bottled six packs.

    I'm thinking $8.99 12 packs.

I was told by a New Glarus rep at a beer tasting a couple of years back that Hometown Blonde WAS Bohemian Lager. Now, I loved BH lager, and really dug Hometown Blonde too, but it was so long and so many different beers for me between the two I'm not sure I can confirm or deny that statement.

I'll just go ahead call that Rep either terribly mis-informed or just plain full of $h!t. Hometown Blonde isn't Bohemian Lager, not even close.

I'd like a 4 pack of 16oz cans for 6.99. I'd buy that by the case!

I think Hometown blonde is more like a German Pilsner. I'd put Edel Pils more in line with a Bohemian Lager.

Soooo what's the verdict on the 2016 Oud Bruin?
Wasn't crazy about the previous one at first, but it's actually tasting really interesting right now with age on it.

Agreed, but neither are New Glarus's Unplugged Bohemian Lager in disguise. @MooseBoose was saying he was told by a New Glarus rep that Hometown Blonde was actually the Unplugged Bohemian Lager.

For what it's worth (which is probably not much), I was told by a random NG employee that Hometown Blonde is "definitely" being released again this year

Oud Bruin 2016 is much better than the previous incarnation right out of the gate, in my opinion. The previous batch had an off-putting metallic taste.

There's no way in hell that Hometown Blonde is Unplugged Bohemian Lager.

That taste is why I didn't like the last Oud Bruin. I will give it another try the next trip to Hudson.
