Flying dog single hop citra is legit. RAR Nanticoke Nectar is my fresh go to, but RAR's releases of HYDE, ChopDANK and Pulp have been my new favorites. Union double duckpin is tasty too!

Los Angeles area - Arts District Brewing Traction IPA.

Draft only availability and it pours right out of the bright tank at the brewery.

Locally - as in walking distance: Iron Bird Propaganda (IPA). Driving: Manitou Brewing's IPA. Fossil Brewing IPA/pale ales.
NM: bosque riverwalker ipa, la cumbre elevated.
Chicago: Half Acre SPACE IPA (over most others), unless Golden Tuna pale ale is on tap...

Currently it would probably be Wizard Fight from Corridor Brewery & Provisions (if we're talking year-round beers). If we're talking something I can get fresh at least sometimes it would probably be Beer Hates Astronauts from Half Acre (both beers prominently feature citra hops), which is available sometime in the summer for a few months.

Fresh Permanent Funeral would definitely be on that list as well, but since FFF is technically in Indiana, I decided not to fudge it.

Bale Breaker gets a lot of local love even though Yakima is 3.5 hours away. One and two-day old cans are common and most decent places have their offerings on draft.

Wicked Weed's Black Angel, though I'm not sure how I could classify an aged sour as "fresh"...

Freak of Nature and Pernicious from Wicked Weed. It used to be Hop Drop but that rarely makes distro to the Triangle anymore.

Locally I would say Devil's Purse Skatemouth. Delicious and juicy pale ale.

Liquid Hero - What the Floc straight from the brewery...the day it was kegged...I'll stand that up against any DIPA out there.

October is certainly pushing into the "not as great" area. I love it couple weeks from bottling. I did blind tasting with same day bottled vs 2 weeks and I felt that the malty balance in 2 week old bottle made the finish a little longer!

The closest "local" beer to me since I live on Long Island would be "Money" by barrier. One of the best IPA's out there. If not that, next would be "All Green Everything" from Other Half since they're not too far from me.
