Huh...I've liked bottle more than draft, but if you let it warm up out of a bottle and still didn't like it, then it's just not your thing. Bummer, I found it to be delicious.

Cask on release day I think was still the best, but I too prefer it from the bottle.

Yeah. It was strange. I opened it with three buddies who all love and have had many Speedway variants. None of us were that into it. Admittedly, we had opened a bottle of 2012 Parabola before it so maybe that ruined us.

I wasn't blown away by it when I had it on draft, probably cuz it was too cold, but fuckin aye, out of the bottle and just chilled, it's damn fuckin tasty. One of my favorite speedway variants, top five, dead or alive. :grinning::wink::grimacing:

Were you at RB Best? Great time.

They won 4 in Strong Stout, SS, BAVASS, BASS, and BAKLSS

I like it when you have it the same time as a half dozen or more other stouts, many barrel aged, while looking at a 30 foot python on the bar in front of you.

Want to say non-BA stuff is $18 and BA stuff is $28, give or take

I had the Hawaiian and the Vanilla-Coconut side by side at the City Beer Store a few weeks back. I preferred the latter, which was pretty much the beer Peter Zien did a few years back during the Speedway Grand Prix. Maybe the hazelnut is actually a detractor?

That feeling when a new alesmith speedway bottle is coming out and your Inbox gets flooded with "hey, remember when you grabbed those other bottles for me in the past, would you mind if I put your name down again?" Hehehe.

That feeling when you realize you still owe a nice man a few nice beers for grabbing the last Speedway bottles for you.

Guess Ill try to pop on these and work it into a Modern Times trip. What was the pickup window last time? A month?

Aww my post got deleted, ah well I can see almost slightly kinda why. But to keep it on track, pickup window is roughly like 2 months for alesmith.

There are so many dark, dirty places to go with that phrasing...

Great event though, Ale Arsenal pretty much hit it out of the park for the entire second half of beer week (and it sounds like the the first half as well, based on the taplists and feedback from regulars). Good times.

For those in town and not at a superb owl watching party yet. Alesmith put on Hawaiian speedway on cask. Just dipped a Samoa girlscout cookie in it. Damn tasty
