I agree. Love picking up a growler or two of Derivative. Now you can get bottles of it.

When I visit home to PA, Victory Dirtwolf. This beer should be THE BEST ipa out due to its ease of access. Heady Topper is great along with many other extremely limited beers but they shouldn't be regarded high on lists because you have to trade your first born to acquire, I digress.

When at my new residence in AZ, AZ Wilderness Refuge.

There's some super fresh stuff out now, it won't last long, but this IMO is a great IPA. Head to head better than any IPA brewed in NC right now. Pernicious is close though, a Freak not so much.

No. I probably won't be going this year. I haven't had PTY since 2013. The lines are just too long now.

Some of the guys I work with and I tried last year. We got there at 9:30 on the second to last day but didn't make it in with the first group @ 11:30. Faced with another two+ hour wait, we decided Hop Shovels at Bear Republic sounded better than standing in line.

    Are you going?

Although not really local to since they're in Northern California, and I'm in San Diego County, Churchill's pub has a beer especially made for them by Bear Republic called Chuchill's X. It's under the radar and rivals anything by any of the heavy hitter imho. World class quaff.

One of my favourite beers over the last 50 odd years. I've had thousands of other beers but so far have found nothing I enjoy more.
Only 3.4% ABV but fights way above its weight , utterly gorgeous stuff.
Fresh ? It's only travelled a few yards to get to the pump

The two craft brewers closest to me are Rooftop Brewing and Holy Mountain. Both make great brews, and I drink whatever looks appealing when I go in the places.
