Picked up a bomber at the Lakeview Binny's today around 6:15pm...excited to try it. One reason I love my fiancee is that she listened attentively as I explained the concept behind this beer for about 3 minutes when I got home.

Binny's, at least the ones by my house, get their beer shipped to them on thursday, wed nite the earliest. That's probably why they said thursday.

This stuff is amazing - I bought 2 bottles when it was released at the stone store in Oceanside and had one that night. It was so good I went back two days later and bought 4 more and found out they sold out later that day. If you see a bottle, buy and drink it, you will not regret it.

going to have some on tap Sunday. my wife had knee surgery- she says we can go if i am ok to drive, as she cannot due to her knee. i dont drink and drive. my nefarious plan is to drive there (in her car) and cab home....

    the couch is comfy...

That's a strategy I don't hear too often. I can't say I'm in that boat, but it's certainly better than drinking 3 of these bad boys and then heading home in your car. Good luck with the outcome.

it'll come eventually but NorCal won't be getting the first run. I guess they were looking to test out distro of the beer locally, in the midwest and to the eastern seaboard. Not a bad idea if that's what they were going for but it definitely lacks transparency which might offend some people(me included)

This is the best Stone has ever made IMO - all styles.

I have one left in my fridge - it's for nrs207 shipping Monday - I need to hide it in the back.

Same here, only acquired one. There was a one per customer limit at the Bottle King I went out of my way to get to. I'm about to bring bunch of people with me so they can buy me more :grinning:

I'm so excited to drink this beer. Why is it only 10am!!??

Taste like another stone IPA to me. Good, but not worth all the hype. I actually preferred the 16th anniversary, just because it was different. Still nothing over the top, but had some interesting flavors in there.

Stone could bottle the run off from washing the fermenters out and people would buy it though.

I normally stayed away from stone because it seems so mass-produced that I couldn't imagine that their beers would be as good as some of the smaller places, but I've got to say...they're damn good. this one (on tap, at least) could hold its own against some of the best ipas I've had. I also think their ruination is one of the better lower cost ipas.

Finished off my last 10th Anny Ruin last night. Was killer trying to get the last pour down. Not that it was bad. But the ABV was hitting strong at that point. Have 2 more bottles of 16th to put down. And 3 bottles of the Enjoy left to enjoy by myself or others. 5 bottles of Citra and 10 bottles of JO still sittin in my fridge/kegerator. What to drink first when I get home.
