Favorite Colorado IPAs?

Last batch had Mosaic, Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo and it was killer. Gonna have to head over and try this new batch.

 

Yep, head brewer just said that hop lineup exactly! I'm seriously impressed with this thing!

 

Does the 5.0.2 have the same date as 5.0.1

 

The only Denver account that took delivery today was Argonaut. I think they got 5 cases.

At the brewery we have 3 cases of the last batch (canned last Friday so still super fresh) we need to get through before we can start pulling cases of what was canned today.

 

No. 5.0.2 is 160506.

Not a Colorado IPA, but has 2x4 dropped in Denver yet?

Just did the 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 blind. Don't know what the differences are but they are close but I picked the 5.0.2 as being better to me and yet again the best of this series..

 

.2 definitely seems more fruity and smooth. Well done guys at Odd 13... you guys are killing it,cheers

 

I just got some of the .02 and it's stellar. I've gotten at least a case or more of the 5.0 since it came out and this version is the best. My favorite CO IPA at the moment. Such a clean citrusy taste. So drinkable. Great beer.

 

Scooped some .02 from Argonaut last night (.01 was on the shelf, had to ask for .02 from the back). Delicious stuff indeed! @rscot231, just for clarification, do you still think there will be a slight change in a couple of days due to the equinox falling off in .01 and .02?

 

Any chance they shared with you when they would be putting this one on the tap list?

 

Terrible 3 at Backcountry is stealing the show for the IPA's IMO! Cannonball Creek showing their worth!

 

It.was on tap but the guy behind the bar said it was a sneak peak like they weren't ready to make it officially on tap

Thanks for the recommendation. I stopped by yesterday to try the Cosmic Unity and really enjoyed it! Got a chance to talk with Chris, the brewer over at Fiction who came up with the recipe, who was very friendly and genuinely interested in getting feedback on what we thought about the beer....another one of those great beer experiences that makes me appreciate the fact I'm living in Colorado right now!

 

Yep, I had a similar experience with him. Really cool guy genuinely interested in what I had to say about the beer as well as everything else we spoke about. I also sampled his ALS(?) Pale Ale and Barstow IPA. Both really good.

 

The first batch of Hop Chops set the bar really high - one of the best I've had. I thought the 2nd batch was really good but not as good as I remembered. Had the 3rd batch today and it was good but definitely not to the high standards it had originally set. Part of that was probably due to having Melvin 2x4 yesterday and Juicy Banger earlier in the day but here's hoping the original recipe makes a comeback.
