Morning BAs. Been off here for a while. I got extremely sick with bronchitis and flu starting a month ago. Still on the mend but felt decent enough to have my first beer since almost the new year. So...taking beer baby steps and nursing on a 15 BBA Plead the 5th. It's nice. Cheers....

I'm loving how this one is tasting at about 2.5 years old. The 4 I have left might not last long.

 

The horror, woke up this morning with about six ounces of unfinished BCBS in my glass from last night. Didn't need that last one obviously. Well I'm putting it to good use. Poured myself half a glass of Founder's Breakfast Stout and poured in a few ounces of the BCBS.



Ain't this sweet.

 

I just realized it is EBF today and this is my 2nd straight year not going, so I am going to go Extreme at home! More to come.

Your mention of your father taking news photos in Chicago compelled me to dig out this book and leaf through it. It's loaded with historical black and white news photos from the Sun Times. It's so sad to see many forms of print journalism dying such a slow and tragic death. There was something special about holding someone's thoughts and hard work in your hands. Those old papers and periodicals were works of art!

Happy Saturday and Super Bowl eve BA's! Off to work for my weekly 12 hour shift today but have a three day weekend starting tomorrow. Got a new beer at work and for a Famous Dave's in Billings Montana our first ever sour on tap says something about how they have caught on. It's not very sour or hot and we have a pineapple habanero sauce that it seems to pair with well. Surprisingly easy drinking. I definitely 'sampled' it a few times. The boy and wife had the night off and sent me pics of their movie night. Came home to a couple brews while watching Mad Men my wife is currently binging on and the new episode of Legends of Tomorrow. Cheers everyone! Go Broncos!!!

G' afternoon BA's! Just started raining here in Central FL.
Made a little Italian lunch today from some leftover chicken and Prosciutto tortellini's, frozen meatballs, mushrooms and pepperoni.

Sauteed everything together before adding the sauce

And finally the tortellini's just to heat them through

Lunch is served!


Hope everyone else's day is going great!! Getting excited myself as my Pops will be here on Friday!
Another work friend will be here on Tuesday with his wife and will be meeting us for lunch and in a couple weeks @punxsybob will be here too!!
