I appreciate it, I frequent there often. Although I heard a rumor about them stepping back from the craft scene... Idk if it's tru or not. But I ended up finding some at ye old, as well as some victory Java cask, & DB adventure pack which I'm really enjoying so far! Cheers!

Went to Aslin today. Good lord. If you like hazy, juicy hop bombs they've got 'em.

Bringing Sexy Back: 6.4% Mosaic IPA. Might have been my favorite.
Dunley Place: 8.0% IIPA with Nelson and Galaxy
Mind the Hop: 9.4% IIPA with Citra

    Here's the BSB:

I was just in Ye Olde earlier this week and didn't see any Sump, but did see the Java Cask, and could have sworn on my way out saw Eclipse 50/50 bottles on the counter. Didn't register in my brain what it was until I was in the parking lot. Hoping a few bottles remaining next week.

Yea they had the sump in the back. And they definitely have a few eclipse left, at $35 a bottle before tax those things usually sit. The Java was awesome, but sump is better for a little more than 1/2 the price. Cheers!

Was there yesterday. The draft and bottle lists are pretty remarkable and it will be interesting to see if they can sustain that level. The food I tried was also a step up from some other NRG establishments.

Thanks! Dinner at Chez Billy Sud saturday night, so going to head to Sovereign or Pizza Paradiso beforehand. Don't think I can go wrong with either.

Not sure I'd always expect to see two Cantillon on tap, but their group has to be one of the biggest Shelton Bros. accounts in the country.

Think you'll see a steady stream of great stuff.

I went Friday night, talked with Zack Shelton and Greg for a bit, treated myself to the bottle below; overall, had the best time I've ever had at a NRG property. Very happy to have this spot in my neighborhood!

It seems like the cans and bombers that people have been enjoying were of like a soft/limited release and it will be going national in February.

There will also be this coming in March:

You ain't kidding man. BSB to me tastes like the "regular" IPA version of Solar Abyss, and that's a very, very good thing. It also reminded me a lot of Sip of Sunshine, and that's very high praise from me. Between these guys and Ocelot I think it is safe to say that NOVA can now stand toe to toe with pretty much any region when it comes to IPAs. Very excited about these guys.

That's not what I meant at all. Rather, I'm glad that Randy is doing well (and he's the Man). I was selfishly wishing that his new shop didn't do THAT well so I could grab one before they are all gone. Obviously the secret is out that Randy regularly procures the best beer in the DC area.

The Orange Starfish was better than the Bringing Sexy Back, IMHO. It kicked a few weeks back. It was like drinking orange juice.

Gotta hop on the Aslin bandwagon here - if you like Trillum and Treehouse beers theres now an alternative much much closer to home - I thought the base imperial stout was good too

Seriously. I have a feeling that this place is going to start getting really crowded in the near future. I was in there this weekend and there was only a couple people in there. It was really awesome drinking that quality of beer in such a laid back environment. Right Proper, Aslin & Ocelot are really going to force some of these other mediocre breweries in our area to step up their game. This is a huge win for the area.
