Yeah I'm surprised no one mentioned it - though I see it mentioned on a different thread now. I'll be there!

    Nut Smasher Bottle Release

    Willoughby Brewing Company, Willoughby, OH

    Event Description
Willoughby Brewing Nut Smasher Bottle Release

    When: February 28, 2016

    Session 1: 11am – 2pm

Come celebrate our third ever release of Nut Smasher! In order to streamline the process and guarantee our attendees get bottles, we are moving to a ticketed system. This will eliminate lines and exposure to cold weather. Also, this won’t be just another bottle release - we will be celebrating with special beers on tap, including Nut Smasher, casks, some really SPECIAL guest taps, and food specials!

    When can I buy tickets?

Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Sunday, February 7 at 1:00pm.

    Why two sessions?

We are making about 50% more bottles available with this release, and our goal is to improve the customer experience, not only in the purchase of bottles, but as well as bar and food service. The best way to do this spread the release out over the day.

How many bottles can I buy?

Validated ticket holders will be allowed to purchase up to TWO 22-oz bottles of Nut Smasher.

How much are Nut Smasher bottles?

    $11.99 each bottle.

Do I need a ticket to buy bottles of Nut Smasher?

Only ticket holders will be allowed to purchase Nut Smasher bottles.

What time should I be there?

Ticket-holders may arrive at any time but can only purchase Nut Smasher bottles during the three-hour session their ticket is purchased for. If you miss your session (for any reason) you will not be able to purchase any bottles.

Do I need a ticket just to enter Willoughby Brewing?

No, Willoughby Brewing will be open to the public the entire day. You do not need a ticket to enjoy one of the many beers we will have on tap (including Nut Smasher), or to order food from our new menu. In order to make as many bottles available, we have a limited supply of draft Nut Smasher, so no Crowlers or Growlers will be sold.

    How many tickets are available?

Tickets are limited to 250 per session. If we have additional bottles to sell, we will make more tickets available.

    How much are tickets?

Tickets will be $5 each. Tickets are not refundable for any reason. Tickets are non-transferrable.

How many tickets can I buy? Can I buy a ticket to each session?

You can buy ONE ticket PER PERSON. You must present a valid, state-issued ID with your ticket to purchase your bottles. If the same individual purchases multiple tickets, duplicate tickets will be voided and refunded. Individuals CANNOT purchase tickets to both sessions. If you do not present your state-issued ID, we will be unable to validate your ticket, and you will be unable to purchase bottles.

What does my $5 ticket get me?

Each ticket purchaser will be allowed to purchase TWO 22-oz bottles of Nut Smasher. Each ticket purchaser will also receive a $5 coupon good towards the purchase of any food, beverage or merchandise. The coupon is valid day-of-event only and CANNOT be used towards the purchase of Nut Smasher bottles.

What if I forget my state-issued ID?

Don’t forget your state-issued ID! It is required to purchase bottles.

What will Willoughby do with the $5 per ticket?

For each ticket purchased, Willoughby Brewing will donate 100% of net ticket proceeds - $3.75 ($5 less $1.25 in ticketing fees) - to #LeahStrong. Leah is a 5-year old who is courageously battling Childhood Lukemia. For more information or to help Leah directly, go to https://www.gofundme.com/wjrd34.

    Anything else I should know?

In addition to our beers, we will have a special line-up of casks and guest beers as well as food specials. We will also be raffling off some special prizes each session, with all proceeds going to the same charity. Basically, we are throwing a party and you are invited!

Almost missed the Nut Smasher, and I have been staking their website too. Looks like I need FB. Thanks for the heads up @CaptCleveland. Got a session 2 ticket. Looks like we can enjoy another pour together. There were still some left as of 5 minutes ago.

Don't you hate how FB is taking over how everyone does everything...no business ever wants to have an up to date website anymore. I still don't have an account but pretty soon I'll probably have to get one due to all this kind of stuff.

I do have a Twitter acct to follow a lot of people, but unfortunately, even places that have them don't use it (cough, cough, Hoofhearted, cough).
One more reason why Jackie O's is a notch above everyone else. They communicate through every outlet except carrier pigeon (that I know of), and @beace is always redundantly answering questions here. Looks like I need to start bookmarking some FB pages though.

I don't have a Facebook account, I disagree with it on so many levels but that's besides the point here, but I'm still able to see general content that places like WBC and HH post. I have simply book marked their pages and casually check them from time to time. A also do this with a couple of my local bottle shops. To date I haven't had any issue or been prohibited from any content that I was trying to view.

They are close enough to potentially cause confusion. Especially considering the man on the Warped Wing can is green, I think Fat Head's would want to use a different name to separate their product from someone else's.

I don't think there needs to be litigation or anything. It would be funny to see Warped Wing brew something called Hop Juju Green.

I'm still waiting on Seventh Son to run into some trouble with 7venth Sun and I really can't believe Rivertown and Rivertowne are on the shelves together. Sometimes I guess folks just crack a beer and let it go.

No, they aren't the same, but there have been lawsuits over names that are less similar. I don't think it would be a big deal in this situation, but you never know if something could happen.

Can't remember which social media outlet it was on, believe twitter, but the rivertown(e)s talked about doing a collab together.

Also anyone seen any dinosmores left around Cincy? seems like it all got gobbled up already.

Dinosmores went very, very fast, according to Ollie's.

BBA Pirogue on Thursday. Belgian "Black" Tripel with Wood Burl coffee. 17.99 for a 2 pack.

I want to try it, but I'm not paying that for it. Besides, there's only one Tripel style beer I want from Ohio, and that's more Kentucky Monk, @beace. *HINT HINT NOT SUBTLE HINT*
