Had same issue. Had one bust open in my bag and one had a small pin hole that I noticed later on. So I have a beer smelling backpack now and 2 less Hop Showers.

Really hoping this release isn't as crazy as the past three have been, but I'm optimistic that this one will buck the trend. Considering the lack of enthusiasm over Equinox and the fact that it's gonna be colder than a witch tit Saturday morning, I forecast a return to normalcy.

Regardless of what happens...looking forward to more All Green.

Yea I'm assuming a low turnout at this one. I've been going early the last two, but my plan is to stop by around noon if I even go at all. Equinox is not very exciting at all.

I'm hoping the first canning of Equinox was a victim of batch variation, but I'm not holding my breath. Gonna pick up a 4-pack or two, but it's definitely not my ideal single-hop offering.

Ehh, I feel like they're pretty good at responding to reactions to their beers and such. I bet it's a bit better this time around.

Oh for sure, I don't doubt that they will. I didn't mean to imply they'd make a bad beer, I'm just not a big fan of Equinox single-hop beers. Pulse Wave was solid but most of the time I'm just not that into it. I'll get there later and if they're out, no big deal.

Curious why those who think OH isn't all that good or is too pricey or whatnot feel that they need to justify not going to releases. I think those of us who enjoy their beer and don't mind the pricing are happy to hear that maybe less people will be going in the future...........unless ofcourse if those posts are really just a ruse to try to convince others to stop going? If so, well done! Prost!

...if not, why post about it?

I guess the same reason we all post about why we love Other Half, its his opinion. We are all here to discuss Other Half whether it be good or bad and have a civil interesting conversation. I see nothing wrong with people posting criticisms as long as they are not an asshole, and most people on here are not.

love / hate relationship with equinox hops, often it comes out aggressively bitter and grassy others it contributes to juice bombs , but even pulse wave i wasn't the biggest fan of

I think Equinox works better when it complements other hops, but doesn't work all that well by itself. I actually really appreciated the addition of Equinox hops to Street Green.

I concur. Glad this is on tap all over the city. Skipping can releases continues to pay off

I was just in Milk & Hops Chelsea and they had "Stacks on Stacks" listed as one of their upcoming beers. I think it only listed OH and not Barrier, but I wasn't paying close attention. I'll check again next time I stop by.

It's supposed to replace greenbacks from what I heard. Thought it would hit the brewery first

Oh, it was well down the list of upcoming beers - there were probably 5-6 beers listed before it. So I bet it won't be on tap for at least another week.

Also, a replacement for Greenbacks?!?! I hope that doesn't mean they won't ever brew Greenbacks again - that's one of my favorites. If this is anything like Greenbacks though, I hope they can it!

I hope not. I love greenbacks. I heard it was a hops issue with greenbacks. I don't know off hand the hops used for it but it seemed like it wasn't going to be back in the near future. Stacks on stacks is supposed to be the closest variation.

I heard Stacks on Stacks is made with citra, mosaic and el dorado? Can anyone confirm?

My local store tried to get a keg but missed out by a few mins.

Stacks on Stacks- 8.5%. Double IPA. A beer geek panacea of Mosaic, Citra, and El Dorado.

Also, WTF is anyone talking about Greenbacks "being replaced" ? It's been brewed twice... what is there to replace? You are talking about an IPA and DIPA with maybe some hop similarities (Citra + Mo). By my measure you can't replace something that isn't a regular offering to begin with.
