The OP mentioned saisons. Most are definitely not very tart. Sour is often a vague term. A number of beers mentioned on this thread are brett beers. Brett by itself isn't really sour.

For sure. The kvass I was thinking of was the health food variety, so if the rye bread addition is what makes it "kvass beer" I was definitely off base. But the one I had was definitely lacto fermented and was just under 1% alcohol. It appears lacto and yeast like to hang out together.

Goose Island Halia, Tilquin Quetsche, New Belgium Le Terroir, Jolly Pumpkin Oro de Calabaza. Not necessarily in that order.

I realize Halia and Oro de Calabaza don't have the tooth-rotting acidity most sour fans prefer but they both have the requisite lactic bacteria, so they definitely count.

Generally a big fan of sours but lately I've really been digging these dry-hopped golden sours. Almanac has some of the best!

I agree I've been loving dry hopped wilds. Wish I could get almanac here.

Rodenbach 2013 vintage was spectacular followed closely by Dieu Du Ciel's Heretique which was a fully brett yeast produced belgo IPA

Kvass is barely even beer. Still love it though!

Yep! It's not beer at all. It's Kvass.

I really liked Fremont Gose. Simple and classic without some craziness thrown in.

I've rated 39 wild ales, but there were also plenty of Saisons that were soured. I've also rated 8 Goses, 4 Flanders Oud Bruins, 3 Gueuzes, 2 Fruit Lambics, a Faro and a Flanders Red Ale.

This was a bit surprising to me. I mostly like them hoppy or extremely cherry tart. Duly noted.

Allagash Cuvee D'Industrial is hands down the best sour/wild ale I've ever had.
